Discounts and new ticket prices

When the discounts come out, will they make us pay for the new ticket prices if we try to change our package plan for the discounted room rates or discounted package rates.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong; but I think the terms and conditions of a disney reservation state that rates are guarenteed only if they remain unchanged. I think that includes things like adding discounts, changing resorts, etc.

That is correct. The rates you have today for packages thru December will only hold if you make no changes to the reservation. Adding a discount code amounts to making a change.

Shouldn't matter much, the average ticket price increase amounts to 10$ per ticket. The average discount code for a hotel room will save you way way more than that.

I called regarding adding water park & more option to my package and was advised the park hopper package change goes into affect tomorrow - basically the # of days you have for the water parks / disney quest now equals the number of days on your magic your way ticket so she advised me to compare the value of purchasing today versus waiting tomorrow to add it. Then she asked me to hold and came back and said she really didn't know how my request would be handled and maybe its best to just do it at the parks under the upgrade during the 1st 14 days of ticket use. She was worried that if she touched the ticket portion it would reflect the new increase in rates. I asked if that would also happen if I just left the tickets alone and added the DDP. She wasn't sure but did suggest that I look at the ticket increase and decide if I wanted to add the DDP today instead of later because I would like have to pay more for my tickets when she added the DDP. There was lots of talking in the background and people saying they didn't know and probably wouldn't until the computers came back up. Why does Disney have to make everything so confusing (at least to me!)?
