Hello All,
I came across this post this morning and I was a little taken back but also a little happy at the same time there is a forum to protect consumers. Let me explain.
I have owned a successful
travel agency for years. I am a Disney lover and DVC member as well. I started DiscountedDIS a little bit ago because I was getting so much interest in Disney. Problem was, Disney does not come cheap. I saw a need. My company's main goal is to make every client’s vacation a possibility by any means.
As an agency, we will make a certain amount of money on every reservation we book. This is how agencies work. I will pay part of the client’s trip so they can afford to go and happily take less.
As far as Disney Vacation Club reservations go, it is not my main focus but I am trying to help people out in any way possible. People try to rent DVC points for one reason, to save money. I am not sure if you know this, but David’s and other suppliers have been raising their cost per point, where I charge the guests the lowest.
In owning another agency, we deal with timeshares on a daily basis. I have timeshare inventory and offer it to clients who can’t afford Disney or DVC. We offer them this at cost as well.
For all Disney reservations, we charge the client direct through Disney. For DVC reservations, we work the same as all the other companies. I am not out here trying to scam anybody.
Lporter- Sorry we couldn’t help you with your reservation as the DVC availability just wasn’t there. We sent you dates when everything you requested was open. We don’t control availability but I hope the service and work we did for you was appreciated!
I am a Disney lover just like all of you and all I am trying to do is bring some of the magic to others. I hope I did the best answering your concerns. Please feel free to message me on here or email.
