Discounted Universal or Loews Gift Cards?

I know there are many tried and true methods to getting discounted Disney gift cards and using those to pay for hotels, meals, etc. Does anyone know of a source for discounted Universal or Loews gift cards? (I assume that a Loews gift card could be used to pay for our balance due at Hard Rock Hotel). Thanks!

What I do is buy UO gift cards with my AE cc

I gain by earning more points
(on my AE cc)

I prepay my hotel room (with gift cards) at Rpr when I check in


Maybe hotels.com or one of the other sites has discounted rooms for the Loews properties?

I found a way to save on UO gift cards last year. I had a new Discover It credit card. It matches your rewards in the 1st year. I waited for the rotating 5% reward category to include grocery stores. I activated that reward, then I used that Discover card to but UO gift cards from Giant Eagle online. Giant Eagle is a grocer chain in several states I dont live in, but it worked online. I got the 5% reward and the 5% match, so I effectively got 10% off. If you live in Florida you may find another grocery store that sells Uo gc's. Or if you live in Florida your locak Costco or Sam's may carry uo gc. In that case, wait for the Discover reward category to be Warehouse stores. If your Discover is more than a year old you will only get 5% rewards, or open a new Discover in your spouses name.
The reward category each quarter is for a max of a $1500 spend, which comes out to a $75 reward with 5% and another $75 of matching reward, for a total of $150 off of $1500 in gc's.
