I am most likely going to be renting DVC points through DVC reservations and they offer discounted tickets to renters. The discounts are deeper than I have found elsewhere so I am wondering if there is a "catch".

For example. a 7 day MYW for adult/child is 262.95/240.95, in relation to Undercover Tourist who has them for 301.75/283.30, saving our faily of 4 around $160

Anyone ever purchase through them before?

Edit: my apologies did not know you couldn't mention other sites in the title/post. Please delete if necessary

You aren't renting if you are going through Disney. DVC doesn't rent out points. The booking would be made thru Disney CRO. A DVC reservation thru Disney is very expensive. It would be far cheper to actually rent points froma member.

I've never heard of a discount on tickets by booking through Disney. Are you sure that the price given wasn't minus tax (that is if you were actually going thru Disney?)

Sorry, to clarify I am not renting through Disney; I would be renting through a DVC point broker (that was edited out of my post). It was the broker that was offering the discounted tickets to people who have rented through them.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had experiences with brokers offering discounted tickets.

Sounds suspect.

There are a few discount ticket companies and AAA...those are pretty much the only legitimate ways to get discount tickets. And those discounts are pretty minor.

Maybe the point broker is trying to sweeten the rental deal by selling tickets to you under the cost it took to buy them from Disney. I'd ask where these tickets came from.

I would agree. I certainly would be very careful renting from some questionable agency as well as buying tickets through them. To me the potential savings aren't worth the risk.

Group resort bookings made through Disney will have the opportunity to buy 2 day or more MYW tickets at a 10% discount plus those tickets include one extra WPF&M option for no additional cost. We have one now for early November with a decent discount on both rooms at several resorts and the 10% discount on park tickets. In this case, I'm not sure how there is a discount on park tickets with DVC point rentals, but it could be legit, so definitely ask for more information.
