Thank you! I searched and couldn't find that info.I've only every seen them offered where you finalize your plans and then only for minimum $15. By chance are you staying at Shades of Green? They don't get magic bands with that hotel and you'd have to purchase on shopdisney or another site like Amazon.
Also- are you staying on Disney property?I saw in another thread that someone mentioned they were able to buy $5 magic bands through MDE app. I have everything linked but don't see an option to buy discounted magic bands? Is this something that is still offered and if so what do I need to do or where do I need to look?
I linked my Shades of Green reservation so that may be whyYou should have the option to choose your magic bands on the website or app and then the $5 magic bands will be the plain colored ones.
Thank you...I may not be able to get the cheaper ones because I'm staying at Shades of GreenIt can be done through the app, but it actually re-directs you to Disney's website to actually order the magic bands.
In the app, go to My Resort>Choose Magic Band, which will then re-direct you to Disney's website.
There, you'll be able to choose your magic bands for your trip. The $5 magic bands are the solid color ones they used to provide for free...although there are some new colors. The printed ones start at $10, and go up from there.
This is all assuming you are staying onsite.

Thanks...thats what I thought I had read but I think it may not apply since we are staying at Shades of GreenThey have $5 plain colored bands offered with a hotel stay.
Thank you! that's what I will do and then use the money saved towards a souvenir for the kidsSince they aren't doing fastpass right now and you'd only use your MB for getting into a park you may want to save the money. You can still do magic mobile with your SOG reservation and add a mobile pass for each guest if you have an iPhone. Under the triple line on the bottom right of Disney app, then select Disney MagicMobile.
Yes there is a option to purchase the $5 sold color bands with a linked reservation or purchase other bands as @DisBuckMan posted above. We have Magic Bands that I ordered in February 2020 for a trip that was cancelled. From what I have read those bands may not work for ride photos for our April 2022 trip. There is no option in MDE for me to order new bands; any suggestions on how to get new ones?
