Has anyone tried wearing crocks to the parks instead of good old tennis shoes? Would you recommend it? I am wondering about getting some for my 4 yr old so that she can splash around in the fountains without sloshing around in wet tennies all day.

For the past several years, four of my grands have been wearing nothing but Crocs as long as the weather warrants it - IMO they are great for kids. The key is sizing - sometimes if they are between sizes, the Crocs may not fit quite right. For the first time in >3.5 years of wearing them, DGS must wear socks with his new pair as the rubbed and created a blister. So far I have only purchased name-brand Crocs for everyone, but there are a number of knock-off brands now as well.

I have a pair but can only wear them for limited times as the begin to rub while DD (30 yrs old) can wear hers forever.

Another note, for anyone looking for adult sizes: Costco has adult Crocs (Cayman) for $15.99 a pair now. I had been to Crocs Outlet on line earlier this week, but I found kids' availability pretty limited, especially for boys styles in sz 10-11 (toddler/kids).

If you have an outlet store near you it might be worth it to go to the store as we found some Mickey crocs for kids for $10 or $5 depending on the style last weekend.

That is the TRUTH! I had to get a pair at the Grand Floridian because the other shoes I had got messed up, and I didn't know they only had the two size kind. I had to wear a 8/9 and I am a definite 9. We did the Mickey's Magical Milestones walking tour that day, and by the afternoon I was literally crying because my feet hurt so incredibly bad in those shoes (Poor DH). I had to go back to the hotel and switch back. I was confused about this sizing because the pair I had at home was a 9 and fit great - I didn't even know they came in / sizes.

I really like the regularly sized crocs. I will def bring those this trip! I learned my lesson! :rotfl:

I just got those mickey mouse athens sandals in the mail - they are so cute, and I can't wait to wear them (though not to the park because I have a big fear of something happening to exposed toes in large crowds of people).
