If the person does not have the Referral Card with them at the time of purchase they should pay full price and save their receipt. They may return, no later than July 31, 2009, with the referral card, APs purchased and the receipt. A refund will be issued for the 10%.

I just want to advise what happened to me when I tried to have the referral card applied to my annual passes that I purchased on May 2....

When we arrived at WDW on May 2, we upgraded our 7 day MYW PH passes to annual passes....I saw the information posted here on the Dis a few days later about the discount referral cards and asked our friends in Florida who we were visiting if they had received their Mickey Monitor with the referral cards inside. She advised she hadn't but kept her eye on the mail for us....their MM FINALLY arrived on May 15...we were scheduled to leave on May 16. She gave me one of her referral cards and since it was after 9 pm, I headed to the Guest Relations at Downtown Disney (the same location that we purchased our annual passes). Originally the CM advised that no adjustments would be made - that you had to have your referral card in hand when you purchased the annual passes. I explained (very nicely) to the CM that if that was the way that Disney had "intended" the program to have worked then they should have sent the referral certificates out prior to May 1. I explained to him that our friends (who live a stones throw from WDW) only received their MM in the mail that day, that was not fair since the program took effect on May 1 and we purchased our annual passes on May 2. He left with the certificate and went in the back room for almost a half hour. When he came back out he advised that he would make the adjustment for me.

I'm not sure if it was just the CM that I spoke to, but it seems that Disney may not be so eager to adjust the price of the pass if you did have the referral card in hand at the time of purcahse. For me, I felt that the almost hour of my time that it took to get our passes adjusted was worth the $99.94 adjustment and the $50 gift card our friends will receive.

I just read this! Where have I been for the last few weeks?

I'm seriously thinking about buying Annual Passes since I'm down in FL at least 2-4x times a year visiting family and my goddaughter. I'm a newcomer to the Disney magic. :wizard: It's because of the DIS and the cool folks here.

I have to go back and reread the last week or so to get updated and how to go about this.

I just love the DIS. :goodvibes

My Mickey Monitor showed up today and I have 3 cards to mail out for anyone who is buying an AP between now and July 31. The card saves you 10% on up to 6 Annual Passes. ~Mary
