Discounted Annual Passes - Information and Official Exchange Thread

Our family is leaving home this Friday morning and will be at the World 5/10 - 5/15. We are planning on purchasing 2 APs, and would love to have a referral card. Someone on the DIS has offered their's to me, but unfortunately they have not received them in time to send them to me before we leave home.

I read that you can get the discount after the fact if you bring your receipt and the pass along card to a ticket window before July 31. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this if you cannot return in person before July 31. Can the receipt and card be mailed in?

If not, is there anyone that has a card that will be at Disney during 5/10 - 5/15 that would be willing to meet up with me?

Question. We have the 4/3 deal and bought 4 10 day MYW NE with the plan to upgrade to the AP. The cost to upgrade if we get the bridge would be $136. The 10% discount on the APs would be $200. Do you think we should buy the APs and pay the $136 and then turn around another day and ask for the refund for the $200?

I did the same thing for 2 adults with the intention of upgrading when we arrived. Looks like I will have a credit of just over $30 (I think) and I will just suck it up if I can get the discount. I would be interested to know if they will give a credit. I would turn right around and spend it right there at Disney anyway.

hello everyone... I read a lot of page and cannot find an answer to my question. We are APs since march 6th 2009 and we are going to WDW from july 17th to august 1st with new members of our family and we would like them to get the 10% off but we DIDN'T received the Mickey Monitor because it is only mailed to US or Porto Rico resident and NOT to Annual Passholder that leave in CANADA... How can I get this pass along savings cards? Oups I forgot to tell you we got 2 adult and 2 child Annual Pass already how many saving card are we supposed to get? We need to buy 2 more Annual pass. sorry for the mistake... french is my first language... I try to understand and write english as well as I can!!!

Each is good for discounts on up to 6 A/Ps.

What a great deal! My DH and I are both A/P holders so we got a total of 8 of these cards in the mail today. 10% discount on each card to the people buying the A/P and $25 gift card to us for each A/P purchased! What a plan on the part of Disney. I know getting that first A/P was the true begining of my Disney addiction. Disney will come out WAY ahead on this deal getting new A/P holders to spend more time and money at WDW!

There is a way to buy these "10% Off AP's" at Disney World
and get an even GREATER DISCOUNT.

It's easy, but requires a few "steps" to accomplish.

First, you would need to secure one of the "10% Off AP" Cards from another AP pass-holder.

And, here's the "EXTRA DISCOUNT" procedure:

Go online and find the absolute best deal you can on a multi-day MYW ticket
from a reputable WDW ticket discounter:

Buy your MYW ticket from the discounter.
Likely the best deal will be on a ticket with a larger number of days on it.
You may even want to buy "Non-expiring" to get the greatest discount.

You must do the math.

You'd want to NOT EXCEDE the price of the (10%) discounted AP.
(Get as close as you can WITHOUT GOING OVER the cost of the
discounted AP price.)

When you get to WDW, USE your discounted ticket to go into a THEME PARK at least one time.

THEN, go to any Guest Relations or Ticket Window at the park, TTC, or DTD.

Present your ticket and the 10% Discount Card and
ask to upgrade to an AP.

Since you have USED a day of your discounted ticket, you will receive the CURRENT GATE PRICE when you trade in your discounted ticket.

So...

You will get to "keep the discount" you got on the MYW ticket, but you will then be buying an AP as if you had paid full current gate price for the MYW you are trading-in.
And also be getting the new 10% AP discount by using the card you got from another AP holder (and they would be getting a $25 gift card, too.)

Upgrades from MYW tickets to AP or PAP are allowed with this offer. If you upgrade from a MYW ticket purchased from a discounter, the normal upgrade rules apply in that Disney will absorb the difference between what the original ticket was purchased for and the current gate price of that ticket. (This is known as "price bridging".)
