I need to join AAA to get my discounts on my room reservations. I have already booked my rooms but need to present my card at check in! Does anyone know of any "specials" or "discounts" to join AAA?

You can purchase an AAA membership package at Costco for around $50. Hope this helps!

I know I've seen discounted AAA membership fees for new members in the past, but I can't think of where I seen them. You might want to call your local AAA office and see if they volunteer any information. They just might since memberships in any club tends to drop when the economy is down, which puts the clubs in a panic.

Call your bank or credit union as well to see if they have a special deal with your local AAA.

Earlier this year I joined "MY POints" as was suggested at Mousesavers and I got a discount there. Depending on where you live ishow much it is and I saved 55.00 at DW, hope this helps.

I joined My Points based on the Mousesavers site's recommendation too. Can you help me out? Where on their site did you find a discount? (Or did you just mean using accumulated points?) Thanks for your help!

Snowball-
AAA also offers discounts on presales of PH tickets.

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE AAA PH DISCOUNT PRICES? ARE THEY ANY BETTER THAN THE DISNEY PRESALE PRICES?

Tigger Fans! - here are the prices listed for park hopper passes at my local, Dayton OH AAA office. I don't if other AAA offices offer different kind of passes or different prices. The second price is the gate price.

Many thanks! I keep considering joining AAA (my parents have been members for ages). Thanks for the rates! I sent an email to my local AAA for more info!

When I checked for discounted joining fees, what I found was that AAA charged more ($10-$15) for your first year's membership and they sometimes have offerings where you don't pay that extra amount. Actually, the way they market it is that years 2+ get a "discount". Apparently, the first year they charge more because they are setting up a new account. I did end up getting one of the offerings in the mail to waive the first year set up charge. I was also told that I could cancel at any time and get the unused portion of my annual fee back (minus the services I had used...I assume this means things like a tow, not a room discount).

Also, when I made the room reservation (thru CRO), I gave them my sister's AAA number because I had not become a member yet, and CRO told me that when I checked in I would have to show MY member card (and the confirmation said the same thing). When I checked in, the CM was confirming the ressie rate and info with me and I said, oh, you need to see my AAA card and I started rooting around....the CM said no, I don't need to see it, I couldn't change the rate now if I wanted to, and I never did have to show her my card or give her my number.
