Discount room rates??

I've read in several different posts about getting discounted room rates. Posters have stated that they "never pay rack rates" for WDW rooms. Where and how do you find these discounts. I've been to WDW 5 times. We've always booked directly through Disney and have always paid rack rates. If there's a cheaper way, please fill me in!!! It'd be awesome to save a little to put toward gas money for this summer's trip!!!

If you're a member of AAA, ask if the that rate is available. We always try to book using AAA. You can also buy one adult AP. If an AP rate is available for when you're going, it might be worth your cost of the annual pass.

Some of the most common discounts are: AAA, AP, Pin codes that Disney mails or emails people. Swan & Dolphin have special rates for teachers & nurses.

Check out mousesavers. They list the known publicly available discounts for a given time period. Typically discounts are available to pass holders, florida residents, disney visa card holders, and AAA members. AAA rates are usually predetermined for the year (I believe) so you can book those at any time. The other rates are usually determined based on demand, and as such are released a few months in advance.

Be careful...once you start find those discounted rooms you end up going a lot more often than you should!
