Discount rates question...

Does Disney typically only give "room only" discount codes? Do you think they will discount their packages?

Sometimes they offer discounts on packages. The best one I ever saw was the 7 nights for the price of 5 deal. Nothing like that happened last year, although they did give a small discount on some packages. AAA sometimes has discount packages, though you generally save money booking everything separate.

They did offer a discount on the packages this winter - if you took off the price of the UPH's it worked out that you were paying the same rate for the room as using the room only code. The difference was you paid the price for the Ultimate Park Hopper instead of purchasing a Park Hopper Plus (which depending on how you use it could be a good or bad thing).

With all of the tickets being the same now (whether you purchase separately or with a package) I don't see why disney would not discount the rooms associated with packages.

Actually, the 7 for 5 was in 2004, and the 7 for 4 was in 2003.
