Discount Predictions

Thank you so much Stan Solo. That is very helpful. Ok, what if you make your last payment and then a discount becomes available, will they give money back or do something else or are you just out of luck since you made your last payment?:confused3

Your final payment isn't due until 45 days out from your travel date. I wouldn't pay it until then. (Reasons?... leave that for another post.)

You probably won't see a discount come out in that 45 day window, but IF a discount for your dates comes out within that 45 day window...you can switch to the discount if your booking meets all the requirements of the discount, but it will cost you a penalty.

Has anyone heard if there is going to be a discount of any kind in June. We have to wait until school is out. Thanks.:worship:

Well, due to DS(8) school course work we can no longer travel during those wonderful mid September or early October dates :cloud9: with a pin code. We are forced to travel during the peak season:scared1: in the middle summer for the first time. We are booked for early August and we are keeping our fingers crossed some kind of deal. Just an FYI I was on another Disney related site and I stumbled on an older post that showed that some great % off deals for this past summer i.e. select June - August 2011 travel dates were offered during this past April 2011.

This is true after I made the final payment (also my second payment) my DW and DD couldn't make it. I had to call and cancel them Disney gave me a full refund on their park tickets minus a small penalty the operator even gave me a number to call so that I could try and get the penalty cost refunded. I never did call that number becuse I was happy to get back what I did especially right after being told by UA that I was out of luck and would get nothing back from them even though I bought cancellation insurance.

Stan Solo, I am so glad you got your money back. That was wonderful however I am so sorry you didn't get to go. Are you going to plan another trip?

Oh no I was able to go with my DD16. It was my DW and DD14 that wasn't able to go. My DD16 and I are going again next AUG (our second trip ever) for Star Wars Celebration and 10 days at Disney World :cloud9:.

I am sorry they didn't get to go. It was good that you and DD16 got the chance to go. Will they get the chance to go with you both the next time? It is good that you can go in April. I love disney more than my DD and DH does. I wish they did like it more than what they do but when they get there they enjoy themselves. It is just getting them there...haha. I hope you have a great trip.

No, my DD and DW will be staying home again. It's just as well my older DD and I will have a much better time without them. They are not fans of Disney, hot temps, long lines, rides or Star Wars the only thing they would enjoy is the food :rotfl:

So why would we want two people with us that don't really want to be their. It just make sence for us to do it this way. The extra bonus is the cost saving with just the two of us going compared to four.

On a side note we are going in Auguest for Star Wars Celebration VI. It's being held at the Olando convention center this time. I think you are thinking about Star Wars weekends that happen in the spring at DHS.

The original plan was for the four of us to go this year and I would go to SWCVI on my own next year (I'm the only true SW fan in the family). My DD and I had such a good time this year we decided to go again next year together and make it a two week vacation instead of just one week.

Ya, you do have a great point. And ya, I was thinking of the Star Wars weekends at DHS. Sorry. I hope you both have a great time.:thumbsup2
