Discount Options

I could use some help figuring out if I am able to take advantage of a different discount and if it would be advantageous to do so. Here is my current situation:

My boyfriend and I are booked under the free dining discount in a standard room at Beach Club from August 25th until September 1st. We used to be annual passholders but we didn't renew them last year. We are planning to upgrade to annual passes this trip upon arrival.

With the recent annual pass discount that was released, I am wondering if it makes sense for me to purchase the annual passes now to take advantage of the 35% off room discount versus free dining. However, is that even an option given that the new offer only extends until August 28th? Would it encompass our whole trip because we are arriving within the specified dates?

If this is even something I am able to do, which makes more sense? Free dining or 35% off a standard room at Beach Club? I know the room discount is typically better but since I am not currently a passholder, I can't see what the cost would be alternatively.

I believe room-only discounts are good for the exact dates specified in the offer, unlike package deals which only require that your package start (check-in) during those dates. I don't have an AP, but if the AP discount ends Aug. 28th, I believe you would not have the discounted rate for the last few nights of your stay. Also, be sure it is a full 35% off deal, and not "up to 35%" which could be lower.

I am an AP holder and I just checked your dates at Beach Club. They are available for your dates. Standard view is no longer available for the offer, but Garden or Woods view is for $388.49 per night. So room only charge would be $3,059.36 with tax, plus the cost of upgrading to an AP.

So I am not sure what that comes out to per night when figured out, but that is the total with tax.
