Discount on tickets?

Hi, I saw that if you buy a "Preferred Pass" you can buy multi-day park tickets with a 15% discount.
Can you buy the Pass and the tickets at the same time?, is it really so?

You need to have an activated AP to purchase tickets with the discount. If you're buying them at the same time...at the gate...they should be able to do both.
