Discount on rack rates

Hi we are about to close on a resale purchase of 250 BCV points. Our first dvc points hooray! We have also decided to take a last second vacation leaving on May 25. We don't mind that we can't use our points for this trip *** we will be back in 2012. But what I wondered was whether we get a discount on a normal hotel reservation and the Poly for eg. Does anyone know? I think we will be buying APs so we will get and AP discount but just wondered if we get a dvc discount if it will be better?? TIA

No, there are no discounts on cash reservations for non-DVC resorts. They sometimes offer a discount for cash reservations at DVC resorts; it's not always available. I believe it's a 25% discount.
