Discount on rack rates?

Do DVC members get any discount on the rack rates at the WDW resorts? Also do we have an option to pay cash for points at a resort if a room is available? I can't seem to find this info online so I am guessing the answer is no?

Members can get 25% off DVC resorts ONLY, and only if the discount is available. You can pay cash for the room buy you can not '
buy' points, so if you need say 7 points to cover a full night, you will need to borrow for the next UY or rent from another owner.

You are KILLING me! In all seriousness, I actually want to head over a day earlier so I can chill before the IL's get there. (but it was too much even with the 25% off)BIL is SOL. Hey but at least now you've given me even more ammo in case he wants more reasons why he could not stay with our points other than my emphatic NO!
