We are booked for 10 nights beginning of April 2008. Just accomodation to arrange. Does anyone from UK know of any good websites to use to book accomodation ?

Thanks in advance.

Broadway Travel is usually quite good - just do a google search. Stayed at Marriot Courtyard Palm Parkway LBV last year for 1 week for less than £300.

For Courtyard LBV try Alpharooms We stayed 25 nights last August and going back again 25 nights this August £625 (£25/night)

A good search engine is http://www.travelsupermarket.com/travelmerge/travelsearch.aspx?package=5

Best thing to do is post dates, how many people, what you have found yourself then anyone can post if they have seen anything better.

If you are wanting to book a condo, townhome or villa you could try www.vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner) and search under Kissimmee. Another good site is www.cyberrentals.com which has a slightly easier searching system. Many of the resorts are a really good quality - as good if not better than a lot of hotels so certainly worth a look.

There are all rented directly from property owner and you should be able to get a good deal :thumbsup2

Hi there,

Any idea which area you would like to stay in? Welcome to the Dis:thumbsup2 I see you are quite new to the boards, Do you want to stay on or off site?

Preferably off site, closer to Disney the better. So proabaly Lake Buena Vista area but would welcome recommendations.

Thanks for postings to date.

It's not a UK site but www.hotelkingdom.com always have good rates (they're even recommended in the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World) - they're hard to beat. Also try www.expedia.co.uk whose rates vary from ridiculously expensive to surprisingly good sometimes! Good luck!

You might consider some onsite and some offsite. Remember too if you're hiring a car for the offsite part of your trip (which might be all of your trip) take into account the price of car hire, insurance, parking and gas - sometimes it's almost as cost-effective to stay onsite.

Hi,
We got a good deal at Courtyard by Marriott (LBV) (£25 night) with Airline Network, but it was only on offer for a few hours!

My advice would be to keep looking and when you see a good deal.. go for it!

Try sites like:

opodo
expedia

Hope this helps

Last 4 years or so we have always booked with wshtravel.com - They used to be called find-rooms.com but now under a new name. If you staying for 10 nts I'd advise you to book the first 2 nts (min number nts) and then book the remaining 8 because returning customers get an 8% reduction which is pretty good.

This will be our 3rd time returning to Floridays Resort. Open about 18 months, they are 2 & 3 bedroom condos, fully equipped with full kitchen/washer/dryer, 2 ensuites, jacuzzi bath, 40 inch flat screen, DVD, TV in both bedrooms, balcony, kids interactive pool etc. Has free Wifi, over 1000 sq ft in space AND its beside premium outlets mall, about a mile from Lake Beuna Vista on IDrive, 1 mile from Seaworld.

We don't drive in Orlando so love the fact that its less than a 5 min walk from Publix supermarket, Walgreens 24 hour pharmacy, new 7 11 shop, McDonalds, Outback Steakhouse, subway and nice chinese. It's on the IRide trolley too so you can get a weekly pass to go up/down IDrive for less than $10 per person, kids free. Also free theme park transport but has to be booked in advance as spaces are limited.

Wish I didn't start talking about it now coz end July can't come soon enough!!!

Hope this helps, drop a line if I can help any more. Anybody I've recommended to it so far has come back gushing and delighted they took the chance. Have a look at their website if you want floridaysresortorlando.com, also it's #3 on trip advisor!

Floridays is a lovely condo resort - we actually looked at buying there but in the end opted for Coral Cay. (decided we wanted a townhome with private hot-tub instead :goodvibes )

The next phase of construction will include a water park type pool but I don't think it will be complete until well into next year. We have friends who have bought in Floridays and Coral Cay - there are benefits in both types of accommodation. It really just depends what you are looking for :confused3

Maybe you want to write a list of exactly what you want from your hotel/rental home and see if you can find something to match - good luck :thumbsup2

How often do those buses run to the parks and do you remember how long the journey is? Next time we might do half onsite, half off and this place sounds like it could be for us. We'd probably drive (though we hate driving abroad) but I'd like to know about the shuttles. Thanks Aine.

Just looked at wshtravel.com and Floridays. For 25 nights in August £1,864.
3 x price of Courtyard. We paid less than that including flights for 3 of us last August. I am sure its great place but out of our price range. I see no reason to pay more than £25/night in Florida, we get in about 11pm sleep and back out again 8am next morning.

Forgot to say if you use wshtravel.com (find-rooms.com) register with rpoints first and book thru their link, it will give you 4% cashback.

That is expensive for what is essentially a hotel suite - no private pool/hot-tub etc. It is all furnished with high end products hence the high end price - a lot goes to the management company - they take about a 30% cut on the rentals

I've just looked at wshtravel.com and I can't find any mention of Floridays. What am I doing wrong? I did a search for 'Floridays' under 'destinations' and it showed no results so then I did a general search with some dates and of all the places listed, Floridays wasn't on there. Does it go by another name now?? :confused3

Under destinations you need to put orlando
