Discount for members

Yahoo, we just became members and are very excited.

Do members get a discount if paying "cash" to stay at the resort, instead of using points. If so, what % is the discount.

If it is available (sometimes it's not), we do get a member discount at the DVC resorts. The discount is 25% off the rack rate. When you stay on a member discount you also get the same limited housekeeping that you get as when you stay on points. The availability is based upon DVC's judgement on how many member rooms will not be booked with points.

The DVC member's discount is $25 off the rack rate, when available.

The discount is good only at DVC resorts (MS can't make cash ressies at resorts other than DVC Resorts) and only when there is availability from the member's inventory. First priority for DVC reservations is to allow members to book using points. When DVC is convinced that there will be availability for any given date, they will offer the 25% discount. It is NOT always available.
