Hi Diane D.

Check out mousesavers.com for historical information about when AP rates have come out and there prices. Generally AP rates come out about two to three months in advance.

Example rates for the value season of Jan1st through Feb 12th, 2003 came out on Oct 28th, 2002.

If you are firm about going in June I would book a room at the resort you want to make sure you have the room and resort you want. Right now both DC and AAA room only discounts are out for 2003. They run from 10% to 20% off depending on the season. Mousesavers also has more detailed information on these any many other discounts.

The AP rates for June 2002 were out around January 19. I missed the release date, but was still able to get a Polynesian concierge room on January 22, 2002. They do go quickly though. I've got my calendar diaried to begin watching around that same time for June '03. We'll see. . .

The code discounts were released later and weren't that different from the AP rates, a bit more if I recall correctly.

I have 2 lagoon view rooms reserved for May. Was wondering about switching to Poly Concierge. I already have AKL Concierge booked, but have no idea what Poly Concierge rates are like.

If you don't mind my asking - What was your rate for June?

We paid $330.25 p/n (tax inclusive) for a GV Conc at Polynesian for 6/14-23/02. The DC rate for that time period was $424 and change (tax inclusive)--BIG difference! At the time I booked (early Jan), DC was still available so I took it pending the release of APs.

I've got the DC for 2003 now, but will be anxiously awaiting release of the AP rates! We are planning a stop for one night (arrival day) at AKL during our next trip--provided I can snag an AP for that too. Otherwise, I'll just add a night at Polynesian.

The codes "available to anyone" for June 2002 started coming out January 26, 2002. The code was good from 4/21/02 - 6/22/02. In 2001, the only code I could find was the "annual passholder" rate code which came out in late March 2001 for 4/22/01 - 8/25/01. There were other codes out for June 2001, but they were mostly posted in newspapers for certain states "only". Remember that things were different in 2002 because of 9/11. People had stopped traveling by air and Disney was offering some great deals late 2001 into 2002. We can only hope the deals continue for 2003. Not sure they will be out as early this year as they were last winter. Mary at mousesavers is always on top of things Disney so keep checking her web site.
