Tried to get the new discounts to work on F/W but, the C/M said that the code AK9 doesn't pertain to the campground. Any one else have any luck with getting the discounts, or is there another code??

I just noticed the extended dates on the website. I plugged in my dates on the website to check and see how much of a discount was available. I could save ~$36 on a full hook-up. I called to have the discount applied to my October visit. The agent asked for the code on the site (AK9) and tried to apply them to my dates.

I told him I had the browser window open and showing the discounted price for my travel dates. He asked if I had searched for the exact dates of my visit. I told him no, I had to search with extra dates for my exact dates to show up. The agent said my exact dates weren't available for the discount and asked would I like to change my dates or book a cabin.

Right now, I can book a new reservation with the discount (adding two extra days to get a full hook-up to show up). I'm going to book a new reservation, call and cancel the two extra days, and then cancel my previous reservation. It's a lot of work for $36 but that can help pay for my HDDR tickets!

I suggest you book everything online. I never call DRC unless absolutely necessary. You have the benefit of searching for extra days online, booking them, and then immediately calling DRC to cancel the extra days. When booking online, click "Save at least 25%" under the picture on the WDW main site and follow the prompts to book.

Update: I spoke to another agent at DRC who asked guest services if they could override this discount code for my original booked stay. They said the code had some kind of limitation that could not be applied to a 4 night stay. I added on two nights so the code could be applied and kept my original reservation. I now need to call and cancel the two extra days and see if the discount sticks.

I just called. It knocked $50 off of my total.

Hmmm, I'm seeing a 15% discount. Not as good as the AAA 20%. Am I doing it right?

The discount would have cost us $5.00 more than our current AAA res at the Fort in a premium site in Dec. Not worth it for us.

Sorry, I meant we have a Preferred Site Dec. 2010 with AAA discount.

Discount doesn't apply to premium sites but I can get it for a preferred. I knocked the reservation down to a preferred. Sorry DH!

Well it looks like they did to us campers again, saw the new code an it doesn't apply to F/W.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the code DOES work for some campsites.

Sorry that you didn't have any luck.

OK... spill it.... what type site *did* it work for???:confused3

When I checked on-line for the new discount rates, the only type of site that was available for discounts was the partial hookups. I tried all different dates in 2010 and early 2011 and only partials came up. Bummer - no discounts available for me on my Dec, Jan or February trips. Sucks!!!

I just got a discout for oct 3 - 8 - Full Hookup. Had to do two seperate reservations since I also wanted Oct 1&2.

Cast member said only site availabity for oct 1&2 was Premimum which was going to cost me more the the 5 other days of Full Hook up. Told her on line, a reservation for the whole time I wanted was available in full.

Once again because it is a weekend ( 1&2) I had to take more days and then delete them to get a full for both reservations so I don't have to more sites.

It's so unfair why these codes can't go thru middle June and July, hey it's not like they are gonna miss any money !!!!!!!!!!

I was able to get preferred at the discount the morning it came out for 10 of our 12 days. The weekend in the middle was not available, so we have 3 reservations, 5, 2 and 5 days. Still saved over $100 with taxes. When I checked later in the day, none of the days where available at the discount, though spaces where available to reserve.

Is this code only for people who have AAA discounts? I'm asking for my parents. They have a reservation for November 11th til December 9th or 10th of this year so, if they could use it that would be great. If not this code how do you find other discount codes. Thanks in advance!

What code are y'all asking for?

We called and they said we had to ask for a specific discount. We are staying November 17-24 (Wed-Wed).

Thanks

When I called and got the discount for my co-worker they called it the %off discount that is offered on Disneyworld.com special offers.

Tried the new code for A/P holders, it only works for Hotel stays. Remember this is the Camping page.

There are sometimes AP and AAA rates on campsites, and any discounts that apply to other resorts usually apply to cabins too.
