discount code for early august 2007

So we all learned of the free dining offer for those staying in late august. What are the chances of a discount code for those staying in disney for early august? Perhaps a room only discount or free hopper upgrade? Do you think disney will offer something to those going in early august? Any thoughts?

I am hoping for a code too. We leave the 12th and a code would be great. I am thinking about booking AAA because that would beat nothing but I have not decided.

I hope we get a code. If not that's ok. We managed to save 1000$ for the flight.

I just switched to AAA. I highly doubt we'll get a code. If you look at mousesavers.com, Mary has the historical discounts. In the last 3 years nothing has been released for dates earlier than an already released package's dates for the general public.

Some of us may get lucky with a PIN code, but I doubt they send too many of those to people who are already booked.

I see on the disney website that 8/5-8/26, value resorts are $82 per nght. Not sure if this is a deal since I don't know the usual prices for that time but it was listed under special offers.

We're already booked at POFQ for Aug 8 - 22 with a AAA discount.

I was hoping for free dining as it would save us a ton of money.

We usually get APs , but I'm not holding my breath for an AP discount. Sigh.

I would really love a discount, currently we are on the AAA but a bigger discount would be great and allow us to eat in the Disney restaurants as we did not get the free dining.

that's the regular price for value season at value resorts ~ no discount

We are hoping for a code of some sort too!! We saved about $500 on air fare last night. Round trip from Detroit to Orlando $115 pp. We paid $215 pp about 8 years ago!!!
We will be there Aug. 10-17, no room booked yet though!!! If we cant get a code or deal I will rent points for the 12-17 for a studio at OKW for $127 night. We will stay off property or at a value for the 10th & 11th.

We are just waiting on the whole free dining issue to be settled.

I looked at the historical data and noticed there were room only codes and AP codes that came out in June last year. I guess it depends on how full the rooms are at the last minute. Maybe the rooms will empty that have been reserved when people change their dates for free dining. We are going Aug. 6-17 so the free dining codes won't work for me either. I'm really more in hopes for a 40% off room only code because my family is happy with counter service and sharing. I really don't want a long TS meal everyday. We also get groceries and eat breakfast and one other meal in our room when we take our break.

Since school starts Aug 22nd we will be there 10-18. I have AAA so we get 20% off but I want BIGGER discounts. Anyone have any? If you book now and a discount comes out is there a fee to apply the discount?

I don't think we will hear anything until June, but I am still keeping my eyes and ears open just incase they decide to surprise us

I recall last year the free dining was about the same time in the third week of August. I believe the notification came out in June. I could really use a discount for the 16th of August.

I think we are going to hear something a little sooner. IMO, as soon as FREE Dining books completely and the reservations start to slow down a bit, Disney will start to itch. Now it would be absolutely magical if Disney offered FREE Dining in early August, but highly unlikely (since I'm traveling Aug 6 - 12 - I hope I'm proven wrong). I think Disney is more likely to offer FREE ticket upgrades - which would save my Family of (3) $150 - $175. I don't know about you - but that's enough for some really good meals with much lower crowds (than those during FREE dining).

I hope we do hear something soon, I would be surprised if they will start the free dining earlier and this would really upset a lot of people that have switched their dates to get it. A room discount would be lovely though .

I checked online today to see if there was availability at POP for our dates....I was suprised as previously only preferred rates were showing. It was the same for Movies.

Probably is right then that people have changed dates due to free dining....

Well if people have moved dates it makes it quieter for us and gives us a better chance of a room discount
