I have a AAA discount card that is good for discounts on food at DTD (10% off at Fulton's, 20% HOB), 10% off merchandise at World of Disney, mini-golf and assorted other recreation, and other things I am forgetting. I will send a list with the card so you will know exactly what it is good for. It expires 12/31/05. If you would like to have it for your trip please PM with your address! :)

Greetings from Frisco! :wave2:

Anyway . . . I am a AAA member and notice you have several "Disney deals" and coupons. How did you get them? Do you have to go through their travel to obtain them? :confused3

We booked our package through AAA because that was the only way to get any sort of a discount and still have the Dining Plan.

When they sent our documents they included the parking pass, which we didn't need, so we gave it to another DISer.

The package also included the "Diamond Discount" card. For some reason there were 2 in the packet (maybe one for me and one for DH in case we weren't in the same place at the same time?). I offered the one we didn't use, then I recently ran across the one we did use but it is still in good shape. After I made sure the 1st one made it safely to it's destination I offered up the 2nd one. We're not going back until after the cards expire, so I figured maybe other DISers could put them to good use.

Overall our experience with AAA has been good. I will be there Monday paying the deposit on our next trip! :)

Is the AAA rate, booked through AAA, any better than what I have found at Disney Travel? I seem to get wonderful AAA rates while booking through them. However, if there is a better way to go and save money, well, hey, I am all for that! :flower:

If I remember correctly you may book through WDTC using your AAA membership for room only discounts. BUT if you want to book a PACKAGE then you have to book through AAA to be able to use the AAA discount. And the only way to have the Dining Plan is to book a package that includes room, park passes, and Dining.

So for our theoretical trip at the end of May (not sure if we can go, but I am planning anyway) there probably won't be any discounts out. It is regular season and since it is so close to summer the crowds will be swelling without any help from codes. If we book through AAA we get 15% off the room portion of our package and we can get the Dining Plan. AAA then sends us the discount card, the parking pass, and the voucher for the "lounge" (which looks pretty much like the travel section of our local AAA office).
