Discount car rentals using codes

I can't find any code that works for October anywhere. I rented one-way MCO to Port Canaveral in February for $15, and $19 MCO to Downtown Disney one-way in May with codes. But every rental place is listing $50 a day for October. I wonder why.

I am looking for and October code as well!! The prices seem quite high...hopefully they will come down and we will get a code!!

Wow, thanks guys! I just booked a minivan for TEN days in Sept for $299 with the codes through National! Initially it came up to $875, but with the codes I saves over $500!! And the insurance was included, but we have enough coverage through our insurance and AMA.

PS: I called National direct and spoke to a real person, and said what pp mentioned, that I received this code from someone associated with the travel industry. We are Emerald Club members, too, so we just go to the aisle, pick our van and GO!

Wow, this 67 number works for me too, all insurance covered etc. But in red letters at the top its says:

Your coupon cannot be applied to this reservation.

?? I don't get it, it works but says it wont work? Or will they wait until I'm at the counter and say..... no no, we told you the coupon is not valid?

When I tried it, I got the same thing. Now, try it without the coupon, just the ID. It was the same amount for me. When I called, I asked if I needed a physical coupon, and he said no.

You would have to try it but I beleive that currently in is an ongoing contract number.

If you are getting a good discount with it now, I would book it and hold it with it. You can always cancel or change it if you find something better between now and then.

We booked with Alamo.com for our trip in May. With judicious use of coupons (found on the Alamo site and www.rentalcarmomma.com) we got a mid sized car for $105 taxes in. Do some hunting. I searched for best rates for a couple months before our trip and I ended up booking about a week before we went down. Good luck !
