Discount at front gate on tickets?

Usually you have to buy ahead to get a discount, and at the gate is the max price. For a few select special offers like military tickets you can get the deal at the gates.

Right now there is no buy ahead discount.

I actually did get one! I didn't realize I didn't even mention that. We were there last week and was fully prepared to pay the full price for a 6 day park hopper but we got a heck of a deal :cool1: without even asking! It started our trip off great :woohoo: It was totally unexpected tho so I was wondering if it was common at all.

So what did you get? How? Is it a secret?

Haha nope, not a secret and I don't know how or why I got it. We went to an open window and told the gentleman I needed to purchase 4-6 day park hoppers, 2 adults & 2 children. He gave me a total of $961  We were expecting a few hundred more! My dh said he said something about an online price but I didn't hear him say anything like that :confused3 I just verified that we had 6 day park hoppers and went happily on my way :wizard:

Hmm. That's increasingly unusual since they don't even sell 6-day tickets anymore??? Guess you had quite a nice CM.

Yep my dh thought maybe because it was something discontinued but that's why I was expecting it to be more!

Maybe they'll sell 6-days at the gate, but are disinclined to upgrade to them? Anyone wanna do some tests?

Next to what I assume is an abbrev of 2 6 day park hopper is :
R EXCPT 11/12 $502.00
And the next line the same until:
C EXCPT 11/12 $462.00

The total was 964 (I said 961 earlier) and nothing else seems unusual.

Also to mention the CM didn't seem phased by my asking for 6d nor did he act like he was doing anything out of the ordinary.

If you have a print out for an online offer like that will they price match it at the ticket booth?
