Discount after Thanksgiving

What are the chances of a discount starting the day after thanksgiving? We are flying down the day after. I'm trying to figure out if I would be ok starting my package stay that day or maybe split the stay?

We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside this time in a Royal room.

We were at WDW this past December--arriving the day after Thanksgiving. We wanted to use the military room only discount--but the Friday and Saturday nights were blacked out from any discounts. So we stayed at SOG for those two nights and then moved to FW cabins for the rest of the week.

Sorry to be the barer of bad news... The chances are slim.

Thanksgiving is a busy time and the following weekend will probably be the Pop Warner Championships. So there is little motivation that Disney will have to offer breaks if they know the rooms will sell anyways. Your best bet would prob be to check to see if you can get an AAA discount or something of the like.

But on the plus side, you are going to love the RGR at Port Orleans. Having stayed in 1 myself in 2012. Port Orleans itself is amazing and the RGR's are jaw dropping.

We got a postcard with a free dining pin last year for the week after Thanksgiving. It worked out great for us, since my parents were taking us all on a cruise the week of Thanksgiving Who knows?
