Discount after booking

I tried to search the thread. I am sure this has been addressed, and I apologize for the redundancy...

If I book a room (say... via disney website) and a discount rate comes out, can I call and have that discount applied to my existing reservation?

You can have the discount applied only if your resort and room type are available with the discount. They will often except certain resorts, like AoA Little Mermaid room, or POFQ, and they will often exclude certain room categories, like standard view, for example, and if you are booked in one of the excluded ones they won't apply the discount. But they will be happen to upgrade or switch your reservation to a discounted room, if you' like.

In short, yes you can call to have a discount applied to your room, as long as it is applicable and available.

OK. Thanks so much for your responses. Last year this particular hotel was sold out before the discount came out, so I assume they will not apply it.
