I have spent several days on this problem and finally thought to myself that the wonderul people at disboards could probably help me out here as well. I'm hoping anyways.

My problem is this, I have a 7 yr old daughter who is on the small side and is very hard to fit for clothes. She has been wearing Jordache jeans for about three years now. Why? Because they are the only pants that seem to fit her. Well, it's time to buy her some new clothes as it seems that she can only walk on her knees. Needless to say most of her pants have holes in the knees. I went to Wal-Mart which is the only place I have been able to find them. I thought it would be a quick outting because I had bought her a few pairs only a few months ago (sz 7) and they still fit so all I had to do was grab a few sz 7 regular jeans. Guess again. Apparently little girls now should be wearing low riding hip hugger jeans. This is all they are selling in my area for the LITTLE girls, size 4 and up. This really ticks me off but that's another subject. I questioned a sales lady and she told me they clearanced all the "Basic" or "Regular" pants not too long ago and they will no longer carry them. I hit up 4 Wal-Marts including a Super Walmart and got the same story from all of them.

I thought I was smart, I said I'll go to Jordache.com and get them there. Again I was shot down. Jordache.com is not online and I have no idea when they will be.

Anyone out there know where I could buy a Regular or Basic pair of little girls Jordache jeans? Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Thanks
Patti

I don't know where you can find those but have you tried gap jeans? They have an adjustable waist and have fit my older DD better than anything else. She's tall but thin so getting something long enough and fits at the waist has always been a problem.

The regular prices are pretty high but you can usually find them on sale at the stores or at gap.com

Do a google search -- I got 59,000+ hits when I put in "jordache." If you are not familiar with google, just go to google. com and follow directions. You probably want to do an advanced search to narrow it down to children's jeans. Good luck!

First thing call 1-800-Walmart and complain loudly!
Then look at close out stores like Marshalls, TJ Max, Ross,
Big Lots etc. There may be a chance you can find them at these stores . Good luck!

I too have a very skinny DD. We swear by the Gap. They have decided to not carry as many styles in slims in the store as they did before but are carring them online. They order them for me at the store and then I don't have to pay shipping. We were in there last week and they have their basic boot-cut jeans on sale for 14.99. They fit very slim (a little short I bought my DD a size bigger) and they are not very flared at all. They seem almost a classic cut than a boot cut.

I found them on the web site and the best news! Now they are only 9.99 http://www.gap.com/asp/Product.asp?wdid=401060&wpid=111720

Hope this helps, I know how hard it is to find pant small enough and long enough. If only anyone could find me shorts that this girl could wear, I would be happy

Sorry I just read the description and I just wanted to tell you that these jeans do not sit low on the hips. Just at or below the bellybutton. My DD is 13 and I know what low waisted is. She loves jean from Abercrombie and those are low waisted!

I have aproblem finding regular jeans for my daughter as well... She is tall and skinny as well..

I found some regular jeans at Kids R Us... you may want to try there.

Thanks

I knew I could get help from this great board. I've been to Ebay that was my first thought and I did find a few pair that I may bid on. But I don't want to rely on Ebay for my kids clothes.

Guess I'm off to the Gap today. I may hit the Marshalls just down the street to. There's no Kids r us near by or I'd try them also.

I'll let you know what I turn up later today.

And I just may use that 800 to give walmart a piece of my mind.
I'm unhappy with Jordache as I can not find a number for them. Maybe if I look harder but it shouldn't be this hard.

Thanks alot everyone

My DD is also small and Gap's jeans not only have adjustable waist bands, they also carry "slim" sizes. My DD is a 6 slim and these are about the only pants that fit her.
