Hello-

Can someone please explain the "disconnected fast pass" situation???....I understand that some rides are not connected to the system, but what I'm wondering is......Exactly which rides are disconnected?

Thanks in advance for any information..This could be valuable!:D

If I remember right, it's Roger Rabbit and HM in DL, and Grizzly River Run in DCA. Not sure what others are disconnected.

Borrowed from another poster/ board who has great details on best way to use fast pass
Thank you Darkbeer!

"First off, there are TWO networks, one for the Disneyland Park, and a second for Disney's California Adventure. They are totally separate, so you can always get one FASTPASS for each park.

Independent Machines (AKA Stand-Alone)

Pirates of the Caribbean (DL)
Haunted Mansion (DL)
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin(DL)
Star Tours(DL)

Grizzly River Run (DCA)
Muppet Vision 3D (DCA)
It's Tough to be a Bug! (DCA)"

That is great information! If I am strategic, I can hold multiple fast passes!

Thanks!:D

Yes indeed! On my last trip I held four FPs at once, two for each park.

Ok, now I'm confused. I thought you were only allowed one fast pass at a time. Does this mean I can grab a fast pass at say Pirates, then run over to the Haunted Mansion and get another one there before the time of the first pass?

I believe IASW is also independent (except at Christmas time)

Actually Small World doesnt have FP during the year

Pirates is often a standalone also-

Ive heard that they wont be doing FP at Muppets and Bug in DCA anymore as they really dont need it-

and I also am a huge fan of Darkbeer the FP God-

FP- DL plan

You can all go or send a scout out ahead for them. I have 2 little kids so we stroll up main street, go potty, and meet a charecter or two... then we head for Jungle Cruise. Dear Hubby is our scout. He runs ahead (he can't stand to go slow with the kids down Main St. anyway) and grabs FP's for Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountian, Indiana Jones, and Pirates!! He then joins us in line for JC. We then check the return time for Splash Mountian, and make sure to grap Winnie the Pooh FP's as soon as the Splash return window opens. We then ride everything we have FP's for and get another set for Indiana Jones if we can. Then we head for Fantasy Land, which will have some lines, but it always will... DH runs over to Toon Town for Roger Rabbit FP's (warning, this ride has a scary clown on it- my DS 9 year old will not ride it, DD-6 loves it). This next part requires discipline- skip the rest of Toon Town for now. Send Dad over to tommorow land for Star Tours FP (you may not even need them, this ride is funny- sometimes it has long lines other times not). Ride TL rides and catch the Buzz show. Go back to Toon Town only after you have done everything else... it will eat up hour upon hour if you wait to see Mickey and Minnie. Oh and if the Beauty and the Beast show is still on it is right by Toon Town and is fantastic but fills early.
Other notes: If you want to take the rafts over to Tom Sawyer Island do so well before dusk when it closes for Fantasmic...
Same goes for canno's if they are open at all.
Ride the river boat and ask if you can be Captian...

I like to view fantasmic from the table and chair area above POC. Grab a table early, but these seem to be avaliable long after the 'water edge' area is packed. Maybe because CM's do crowd control over by the water?

About above plan. One thing I am not sure about is if we were able to get FP's for Indiana Jones and Splash because IJ is a disconnect, or because we got them so early the return time was almost right away. Both IJ and SM will often run out of FP's before noon.
