After Dave's post earlier, I sent another email off to Pete to try and find out what the hold up is.. I heard from Pete, who is still working with Swan Dolphin to finalize all details of DisConII...he asked me to tell you all to not worry... he will post as soon as they are finalized.. He thanks you for your patience...it is important for the success of DisCon that every detail is fine tuned so that we have a successful Convention..

Success is in the details. I bet that these recent, new discount codes for many of the WDW resorts in December might either bring the room costs down or maybe Pete can use them as leverage to get some other extras from WDW for the DIS-CONvention.

I made my reservations at the WDW Dolphin months ago. Many DISers have made their reservations today using these special codes. Many DISers try to get the best deal that they can, when they can. If a better deal comes up, then they can cancel their first reservation after making another better one.

Dave, you were asking about the Candlelight Processional packages possibly coming out in August (at least they did last year), and trying to decide what to do. It would be difficult, not having the official itinerary at hand, to either know if it would be safe to purchase a package from December 4-8, 2002. Especially if it was planned as an official event during the convention, and you didn't want to go to two of them.

I am not making any plans during the official convention until the official itinerary comes out, but if Mr. Roy Disney is truely going to be a narrator on December 1, 2002. Then when the Candlelight Processinal package comes out, and he is confirmed as a narrator for that evening, then I will buy the CP package in August.

Just like I have already paid Patinmn for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review on Tuesday, December 3, 2002. And many others have already bought tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on Tuesday, December 3, 2002, and on Sunday, December 8, 2002.

I think that last year, even though the official events were announced early on, the dates and times of the official DIS-CON-II events were not announced until much later. And even then, they were tweeked a bit.

But anything before or after the official dates of December 4-8, 2002 are open to DIS-meets. Especially, since Patinmn has a paid DIS-meet on the night before DIS-CON on 12/03/2002, and there is a paid DIS-meet MVMCP on the night after the closing of DIS-CON on 12/08/2002.

This is going to be a great convention this year. I can't wait for your MGM Prime Time Cafe DIS-meet, Dave.
