Boy! I was going through my pictures and realize I left a whole afternoon segment out! This has to do with a quick errand run after lunch while DD15 and DD2 were napping. This is during the time frame we were still unsure of how sick the kids really were.
I digress... I let DH know I was going to run some errands and off I went in the car to the Swan and Dolphin Resorts!
I went to the Dolphin first to drop the SIGMA DELTA SORORITY Journal and Mickey tin for sharing little trinkets with fellow sorority members. I was about knocked out when I saw that Christmas tree! AWESOME!
I spoke with the Concierge Manager who was tickled to know our group existed and would be "more than pleased" to keep our journal and box behind the Concierge Desk! I knew we had other members there so I was trying to make sure to get it over there as soon as possible! At this time I also dropped off the little M&M Green Alien for the Zurgs along with a note. And I also left a note for Muffy, but I couldn't remember her real name so I left the note for "MUFFY"! HEY, MUFFY! DID YOU EVER GET YOUR MESSAGE??
Here is the Swan outside Christmas tree...!
I also had the brand new sorority mugs we had made for Mama T and Thabo wrapped in a nice gold bag with a Sorority Card. These mugs proclaimed them as "Honorary Members" of the Sigma Delta Sorority and were personalized with their names. (Of course, Thabo's said "Sorority Brother" on his!
I left their bags at the Swan Concierge Desk since Mama T was off that day and Thabo had left early!
I was hoping to present them personally, but sometimes things just don't work out! While I was at the Swan, I stopped by the Lobby Lounge and got the recipe for a discontinued drink called the "Cherry Bon Bon" Steamboat Girlie had asked me to find out... Made with Bourbon and Maraschino cherries! Sounds potent! After writing that interesting concoction down, I managed to snap a few more photos of the beautiful gingerbread village before heading back to the Dolphin...
Before leaving I noticed this really cool train that was going around the tree inside the Dolphin...! Neat, huh?
I'd been gone about an hour so I head back to the POLY. DH and DD9 have also returned from the AK and now I remember why we didn't ALL go to church together... this is when DD2 developed a fever. I sent them ahead while I stayed behind to administer meds and a tepid bath to break the fever. It came down almost immediately with a Tylenol-Motrin cocktail and the bath. In fact, she did not regain her fever until the next morning... Also, DD15 did not feel up to going anywhere so I once again brought her room service and INSISTED she take some medicine... Now I think I am caught up but slightly out of order in my trip report! OOOPPS! So now we continue on to Part 6: The AKL, Boma's etc...
