DISBrides concidering the Adventurers Club...

As sad as this makes me to tell you,
all of the clubs on Pleasure Island are closing September 27th including my beloved Adventurers Club.

As of right now its 1800 to book for 50-200 people, but I dont know when theyll stop allowing receptions there.

Just a heads up.

Meg I am sorry. I know that they are allowing events there through Oct though. Check with your planner to see what the plans are. They may not know the full details yet as it may not have been passed down from DFTW's partners at PI. Your WC should be able to help you find out and firm out details. We are here if you need us!

I am so sorry, Meg!!! I can't believe that they are closing all those clubs! ESP Adventurer's Club and Comedy Warehouse. A lot of people have planned weddings/bachelorette parties and this is devastating- esp. 3 months out!!

This is the worst news!!! I LIVE for 8-trax and Comedy Warehouse. Ugh...this is so messed up! Especially with such short notice! I know rumors are rumors...but THIS started as a rumor a while ago and now its true..the next 'rumor' is that they're closing DQ too. Ugh... sorry brides..guess you have to celebrate at the Oaks Trail Golf Course (good luck with that..played that course once and will NEVER again! seriously...this is what happened on the 8th hole lol:

anyways..sorry to get OT....this just REALLY stinks, and i don't know how a golf course can be an even replacement for the PAP holders.

I honestly can't believe that! I am really quite upset by that news. I can totally understand getting rid of most of those places because I know I never went there and when I did they were usually empty, but the AC!?! And all to make way for shopping and dining? Isn't that what the stupid West Side is for? And doesn't it kinda blow? rotfl: This is from a local's perspective, so apologies to anybody who loves the West Side.) I wrote an email saying I don't see how the AC couldn't be kept, as it's already family friendly. I hold out no hope of it making any difference.

And, to get back on topic, this has now ruined my plans for my imaginary-wedding-of-tomorrow. I was totally going to bring my wedding party there after the dessert party. Foiled again! Now not only do I have to find a man to marry me, I've gotta come up with a new plan!

^^^MadameMim - I totally agree! We are shocked! Yes, do away with the ancient Disco - but the AC is unique!

We are local and spend time there. Only reason to visit PI as far as we are concerned. Not to mention our friends who are CM's there - arg!

Hopefully they will consider incorperating a refurbished AC into the new plans for Pleasure Island. But as usual - Disney will do what Disney will do
