They're great, Steph! I really like the AK one! I think Megan is wearing the same jammies that Tessa wore to bed last night! Are they the fairy PJ pals?

It was brought to my attention that when someone e-mails me using the link under my username, I don't get the e-mail. Does anyone know how to check what e-mail address they are sending it to? I know my e-mail address is right in my user CP because I get e-mails telling me about new posts and such. I tried sending an e-mail to myself with the link and it didn't go to any of the e-mail addresses that I have. Weird!

Lisa, AMAZING work as usual! Love your fabric choices!

Steph, great job on the hairbows!

Leighanna has her Valentine party today, so I made an extra outfit for today. She picked out the fabric. Snoopy! If they had a Mickey valentine print at Walmarshay when we were there she would have picked that, but she said Snoopy was her second favorite!

We went to Disney on Ice last night for Finding Nemo. I just wanted to post the Nemo top on Delaney. She had a great time.

That top is really cute! Looks like your DD loved the Nemo show!

My biggest problem with my ruffler foot is that I always forget to put the presser foot lever down before I start sewing. I start cursing the ruffler and then realize I didn't put the foot down. :rotfl:

I do the same thing!! I freaked out the first couple of times because my sewing machine starts flashing this error code and I immediately thought I broke it. :scared1: Can I tell you how relieved I was to pull out the manual and read that that error code means PUT THE PRESSER FOOT DOWN, DUMB DUMB!!

I certainly would be since I could really erase wrinkles, cellulite, hips, etc. ;)

Well, here's what I've been working on frantically to get it out today. I was so happy I got it done with plenty of time for photos.

We use to catch fiddler crabs at Howard Park (and then let them go). My Grandpa's name was Howard, so I always thought it was cool when we would go there with him. :lovestruc..........Miss yah Grandpa. :sad1:

Did you check your profile to make sure that you have the box checked to receive emails from other members?

Cute! I think you shall be crowned the king of the whipped up outfit! :worship:

I don't think the little "Send email to member" option comes up unless you have the checked. It isn't an option when I click your username. But, that might be something to check, just in case.

I am going to a new hematologist today. Everyone please keep your fingers crossed for me that she's not as ignorant about my autoimmune disease as the rest of them have been! :goodvibes

My biggest problem with my ruffler foot is that Luke keeps messing with my settings so I have to readjust it every time (I have it sorta permanently set up on my ancient Singer)

Fingers Crossed- :flower3:
The can't all be clueless-:headache: Hope this one is a good one!!! :cheer2:

Steph- The horsey animal kingdom one is my fave too. Where did you get that little mickey button??

Tom- I love snoopy too!! That a great outfit- I like the pants applique- CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!

Can someone tell me what fabric those pettiskirts are made from?? Once again they are something that isn't available in NZ (that I can see) but they look fun and girly :)

Anyone made one?

It has a few different names but you want to look for nylon tricot chiffon or something like that. It's a type of knit which means the raw edges don't need to be finished because they won't fray like on a woven. I just googled "nylon chiffon" and had a few sites found that sell what you're looking for so you can see if they ship to your area. This is the price I've been able to find:
http://www.theatrehouse.net/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=THH&Product_Code=0992&Category_Code=FabChiffon. They appear to ship internationally but the cost seems pretty high considering the fabric weighs so little.

So far, I've only made one pettiskirt and it wasn't as full as I'd wanted. However, the fabric I used was kind of expensive considering I used 6+ yards to get even that fullness so I didn't add to it... although it was tempting! I bought some hot pink tricot chiffon on clearance to experiment with but haven't done anything with it yet. Here's a photo of the one I made for my DD's costume:

Now that is worth $700!!!!!!!

I WISH! LOL

My fingers are crossed for you!

BTW - Anyone else read cheerbop's comment and start hearing Ashley Tisdale singing in your head? :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Yes, actually, I did!!!!!!!!!

Did you attach the forked part to the needle? Sometimes I forget to do that, and then the ruffler part won't move....

I don't know what I was doing, I think I was just tired, and I was trying to ruffle and attach at the same time, and both pieces were ruffling, and then not.......... It was just time to step away from the machine.:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am going to get some more fabric today, and will post pics when I finish.

Heather, good luck!

Stephanie, loved the bows, especially the AK one

OH, and gotta love snoopy!

Yep, fairy PJ pals. You probably will not be surprised to learn that Megan has more pjs than the rest of the family put together!

Good luck on your doctor's appointment and congrats on the weight loss to you and Mindy. I have not lost any weight. :sad2:

Steph, great job on the hairbows!

Thanks! I love your whipped up valentine's outfit, complete with Snoopy appliqué on the leg! You are too good, you know?

I'm glad you had more confidence than me! I read your bookmarks and got the glue gun and just worked until it resembled a bow.

I have been to Howard Park a few times, but we really go to Clearwater Beach more. We like to eat down there and watch the kids play.

Steph- The horsey animal kingdom one is my fave too. Where did you get that little mickey button??

The little zebra is a button and the mickey head is actually an eyelet. I bought them (the eyelets) at the scrapbooking store in Downtown Disney, but you could probably find them at a local scrapbooking store. My husband should be pleased that I am actually using my scrapbooking supplies!

Stephanie, loved the bows, especially the AK one

Thanks! I need to get to work to finish the AK outfit it is supposed to go with. I ran out of thread and had to go to JoAnn's this morning (thread is 50% off! :cool1: ).

Great job on the bows. I have finally located the alligator clips in this town. The bad part is that I have to go to the bad part of town to get them. I asked a lady last night (she was wearing them to hold her curlers in :) ) where she got hers and she told me downtown. So I have to make a trip downtown.

I found these at Wal Mart after someone suggested that they are by the curlers. Hope you can get them safely!
