That is adorable! They have minnie mouse purse at Walmart? Are they in the children's department? I will have to head over there and pick one up for dd.

That minnie purse is so perfect with that outfit!!! I love the rick-rack, too!

Ok, I got the nemo outfit done. Still have to finish Ariel.

Very cute! That is just what the dress needed!

Yeah, yeah, me again! Photobucket is working at the moment, so here's the skirt I finished this morning. This is CarlaC's scaloppini skirt. I think it turned out really cute! Tessa is fresh from the shower.
It's not as short as the 2nd picture makes it look. It rode up when she raised her arms.

Here's a close-up and a perty circle:

This one's just 'cuz I thought it was cool (she jumped, she's not falling)!

I'm not sure what kind of shirt to put with it yet. But, I'm thinking of something with a Chip applique.

Ohmygoodnesss, that is adorable!!! I love what you did with the ribbon, and the color combo is awesome. Thanks so much for sharing! Where did you find brown tulle? Was it in a roll or by the yard? Our JoAnn's only has 4 or 5 colors on the roll, and occasionally I'll find some unusual colors in the bin.

We took dd to see the Hannah Montana movie last Sat and here are some pics. She had a blast and is having a Hannah Montana birthday party in two weeks

ok, only had time for this one. I do have the hearts outfit, but I wanted to make something fresh. We had a teacher night at the tour of our schools new campus. So she wore this. it was 55 degrees so this is with a peasant top and some purple leggings! brrrrr...

That is very cute! She is a little doll! 55 sounds downright balmy to me - LOL! We are actually having a warm spell here in Central CT, and it is still only about 44.

I've had a very bad morning. It looks like our poor dog, Pierre, is going to have to find another home. The girl I got him from (last week) said that he was great with kids (including her 1 year old niece). Well, he hasn't been real great with our kids. He was growling at Sawyer a lot. But, I just kept Sawyer away in hopes that he would get more comfortable with us. This morning, Pierre was sitting next to me when Sawyer came over and reached to pet him on the back. Pierre bit him right on the face, with no warning growl or anything! It's not a bad bite, but he has a purple mark on his eyelid. I have been doing a lot of crying because I now realize we're not going to be able to keep him. I've already contacted the local SPCA. They said to bring him in on Friday so they can meet him. Then, they will decide if they will look for a foster home for him. So, I don't know how long it will be before they actually take him. They asked me if he was up to date on his shots. I took him to the vet last Monday and got all of his shots, but he needs booster shots in 3 weeks. I also had him scheduled to be neutered on the 20th of this month. Anyway, the SPCA said they won't take him unless I make a "donation" to cover these vet expenses. Don't they generally ask for a donation from the people adopting the pet to cover these expenses?

Anyway, I'm pretty upset today. I feel so guilty about everything. I feel guilty that poor Pierre has to go to yet another home and I feel guilty that I brought a dog into our house that hurt my baby. :sad1: I really thought I did everything right- asking he right questions, etc...

why won't the original owner take him back. did you get him from a breeder. I am telling you this, not to upset you but if they know he bit a child he will not be taken and he may be put down. take him back to the lady. If she refuses over the phone, drive over there.

Where do you all find the hair clippies- I must be blind because I have looked at Michaels, Joann, and Walmart and could not find them. I know they must have them but WHERE???
I was told at Wal-Mart that they had discontinued the clips.

I am so sorry to hear that. My Grandparents have a little poodle that snaps at DD sometimes. I think it's just cause she is getting old. Maybe isolating him for awhile might help, but if he bit the baby that might not be worth the chance that he would do it again.

I find them in the jewelery/beads section, usually near the wire and pins and hooks and clasps etc. I have seen them at Joanns and Michaels, not so sure about WalMart.

I got mine at Sally's which is a beauty supply store! I think I got a box of like 100 or something! Oh, I also get the ones that snap together from Hobby Lobby! I have to use these for my 4yo because the others won't even go in all of that hair!

I was at WM looking for them last night. They told me they have not carried them in a couple years. I have bought mine a beauty supply stores. They were not at Michaels last night either.

I got mine at Sally beauty supply, 100 for $5. I haven't found them elsewhere other than Ebay. (and they are much cheaper at Sally's).
Thanks Everyone- I have a Sallys so I will check there next!! I can't believe those darn things are so hard to find:laughing:

:grouphug: So sorry to hear that Heather- I would go with the humane society too! They are great- And they should take him as is- with out any further expense from you. I know how excited you were!! And poor little Sawyer I bet he was so scared!

Oh Heather!

I am so sorry to hear about your morning!.
And an extra one for Sawyer

Is there a breed rescue group in your area? They should be able to get the new dog into a foster home and then to a permnant home that better fits him. We have a pug rescue group here that puts the pug in a foster home before they place him. That way they get to know the dog and have a good idea what kind of home is best for the animal.

It sounds like the girl you got him from "withheld" some information. Sawyer could have been REALLY injured. (I still have scars from dog bites I got when I was younger)

And I know it is hard, but please try not to feel guilty that this dog needs to go to a new home. That is NOT your fault. You did not know. The guilt lies with the woman you got him from. SHE KNEW how the dog was and she did not tell you. I would be furious with someone if they allowed Morgan to get hurt.

Here is my youngest daughter's Minnie Dot outfit for Chef Mickeys.

I also found these purple shorts at WM. I decided to make a coordinating shirt. Older DD will have pink once the 6-7 shirts come in. They are for the diaper bag.

sopheemousepurple.jpg

I also finished the Fantasmic outfit. I am conflicted about the Mickey. Do you think I should add a red bow. I am going to do red, white and blue jewels and bows that can double for the 4th of July.

I love the Fantasmic outfit just the way it is. :thumbsup2

I have a few questions/comments...

1. Has anyone been to Disney on Ice - Princess Wishes....good/worth the $$/opinions please/outfit ideas?!?!.

2. Someone mentioned that they'd like some of the other Epcot fabric - I'm assuming that means the red one with the flags...I have about 2 yds if anyone is interested?

3. Is there a pattern out there for the cute "Fantasmic" skirt (for lack of a better name?)

Yep... I have seen that one 2 times. It is cute.

You probably did and I was having a "mommie" moment- I'll look back so I can admire it again :goodvibes

I think the lady that heather got the dog from was moving out of the country.

oh no, if she was moving, I would still give her the dog back if she is still i ntown. no ands ifs or buts, it is that ladies problem. also call the rescue society and tell them it is an emergency. there has to be breeders you can call also. just drop him off for free to the breeder.

Since he's a pure breed dog they would gladly take him for free.

Just an FYI...

M_I_C_K_E_Y on the creative designs thread has apparently been contacted by a Disney Representive and told that she is in violation of copyright infringement for the designs that she has been making. It doesn't appear that any of the other designers have been contacted at this time. She will no longer be designing and many of the other designers are following suit. Any of you selling custom Disney creations on EBAY or otherwise may also be at risk. We, on the creative designs forum, had always been under the understanding that as long as we were not profiting from our designs that we were not breaking any laws. Since I have no idea what the specifics of the phone call was to the designer I don't know what angle Disney is taking. I sincerely hope that this is just a fluke as I so enjoy all the Disney creations here and on the design forum that this does not become an issue. I know that most of us primarily make items for our own family and our own use. I hope that protects us, but I'm truly confused now. If any has any further information please let us know.

what is your favorite shirt pattern for a girl turning 7. DD is turning 7 on Saturday and I have a yard of the pink Hannah Montana fabric from walmart and I want to get a shirt made for her. I like the ones that you see over top of another tshirt, but am looking for something in a wide strap vneck. I have yet to do sleeves and dont' want to try them just yet. Can anyone help me??? PLEASE and Thank You. I promise to post a picture of what I make when it is done.

   Thanks for the info Deb! This makes me very sad. I love the DISigns board. I don't sell anything I make, so I guess I'm safe :confused3 , but that is frustrating.

I purchased some from :wizard: but I know that Hancock's had some red hibiscuc fabric as well. My creation is in the photobucket link. I had a DISer from the creative DISigns board make a design for an iron on for the shirt for me. I'd post it again, but photobucket is still down.

I would love to see it.

Here is what I did yesterday. DD2 got invited to her first birthday party. I know, she's young, but she is good friends with this girl that is turning 4. Her friend is going to Disneyworld over Easter, so we thought we would make a custom for her birthday present. I did not have a lot of warning, so this is what I came up with using only stuff I already had at home. (Okay, I sorta cheated on the buttons, I had to cut them off a coat of mine because I have no time to get out and buy buttons before the party :scared1: ). I hope it fits. Ths girl is turning 4 but she is really big for her age. I got some quick measurments, but I'm still worried about the fit. I serged the ruffle instead of hemming but I think I really like it! I may sort of CASE this for DD2 (can you CASE yourself? :confused3), but I'm not sure if I have enough Minnie Dot left. :rolleyes1 sorry to be so chatty :rotfl: I'm just waiting for photobucket to upload my photos. My internet has been a nightmare lately.

I love it! and what a great gift. I love that little purse! have to see if our WM has them!

Ok, I got the nemo outfit done. Still have to finish Ariel.

Adorable! I love little nemo on the dress!!

I have a few questions/comments...

1. Has anyone been to Disney on Ice - Princess Wishes....good/worth the $$/opinions please/outfit ideas?!?!.

We are going with the Girl Scouts next month too! We went to DIsney on Ice Finding Nemo, and we loved that I could only guess that Princess Wishes would be just as great.

She looks ADORABLE!!! I love her outfit! Tessa also opted for an orange Hannah Montan t-shirt. But, it has a different picture on it.

Great idea!

What a sweet little outfit! JoJo looks beautiful in it!!

Heather, what kind of doggie is Pierre? you can check online to see if they have a rescue foundation for his breed. my friend does boxer rescue, foster adopt. I hope your ds is feeling okay. You can also check with your church and see if there are any elderly people looking for a pet. Good Luck in your search.

Everyone's outfits looks so great!!!

We were just there last week. I looked for some familiar outfits ;) but I didn't see any. I did see some cute boutique ones though. :)

Here are some of my girls outfits. My mom helped me big time with these. LOL I even had Dh cutting out pieces. We had such a busy fall that I didn't have time to sew until after Christmas so all of these were made in a little over 2 weeks. Whew!! I had planned to have more outfits but time ran out! Next time I think I need to start 6 months in advance!

I have another outfit not pictured but my dd got the stomach bug during our trip and I didn't get a good pic of her in it before the "bug" hit.

Sorry about the blurs. I guess I am having a paranoid day. LOL

THANK YOU for all the ideas and pictures you all have posted! I feel bad that I didn't save names so that I could give credit, because I pretty much "tried" to copy many of the adorable clothes you all have posted! So to those I have coppied thank you!

Here are their Epcot out fits. A very nice lady from here let me buy some fabric from her. I made these 2 days before we left so I didn't have time to applique so I just made iron-ons for the tops, then sewed a ribbon bow on them. ;)

epcotata7.jpg

Here are the dresses I made for Ohanas. I also did the characters iron-on. If you look close you can see the Elvis Blue Hawaii fabric on the skirt.
lilonstitchags8.jpg

These skirts were supposed to be combined with toile but I failed miserabley. LOL I think we were able to save them pretty well. I ended up really liking them. You can't see it in the picture but there is a little red and white ribbon bow sewed on the bottom left of the skirt just above the ruffle.
minnieskirtaju2.jpg

I LOVE these overalls from afar but up close you can really see how unsteady my embroidery is. Poor Giselle's jaw line is all over the place.
overallsahv4.jpg

The entire time we were sewing these my mom complained about how ugly these were yet we couldn't get more than 5 feet without someone asking us about them or me hearing a comment about them. :goodvibes When dh was alone on Everest someone even said, "Aren't you the dad of the girls with the stripped animal dresses"? I even caught a few people taking pictures of them. LOL
safariabt8.jpg

Thanks for letting a lurker share with all of you!!! Thank you again for all your insperation!
