Finally I cannot remember if I posted the improved Nemo Dresses. These were the first thing I ever made. I had to adjust the babes because it was too long.

nemodresses001-1.jpg

I cannot wait until my girls can see all this! It is killing me!!!!

Wow; you have been busy! These are just beautiful....love em! :goodvibes

Here is how . . .

1. I do not sleep enough! LOL
2. My older daughter goes to preschool on T/TH so that gives me the whole day. The girl will not let me pick her up before 5 pm.
3. My younger daughter is 18 months old and is fascinated with cutting things out. She stands on her little chair and helps me. She is in charge of throwing away the scraps. It is really cute.
4. My DH is in grad school so at night he is working on his homework. He takes off Thursdays and Friday nights. We watch Lost on Thursdays and he crashes on Fridays. He commutes three hours a day.
5. DH also knows how important it is for me to finish my plan so he has been taking the girls on little outings on the weekends . . . the bookstore, starbucks and the almighty Chick Fila playground. LOL We are looking forward to spring!!!
6. Finally he bought me a Viking sewing machine so I better use it!

ETA- I have everything hanging up in our coat closet cause heavens knows my almost four year never goes in there! LOL
Hahahaha well they are going to be shocked when they find out about it and tickled pink to wear all of those gorgeous outfits!!! You gotta get the reaction on video when you tell them!!! :woohoo:

I know what you mean, we could never afford to do Disney if we stayed onsite! We are what most people would consider poor! Poor enough to get a nice tax refund every year, so we use that to go to Disney. Last year we spent more than planned, since we had to fly at the last minute (quite literally!) We spent $2,400 for everything, (all our food, gas, hotel, flight, tickets, rental car...) which I hear really isn't bad for a two week Florida vacation, but it was QUITE a bit more than we usually spend! :scared1:
No that is a great price actually especially if it included airfare which kills us since we have 5 people...well actually so do you right? Anyways, you will love your place and have so much fun! I remember when it was so far off in the distant future and now its Feb. Now by fuzzy Disney math, you don't count the month you are in or the month you leave...so therefore you have 2 months till your trip :cool1:
Hi All! today we spent the day at MK...boy was it crowded!! It was hot, too so that didn't help things. Ireland is already in bed, she fell asleep in the car on the way home, and my feet are so sore, they feel like I walked 100 miles.
I will post some pictures tomorrow. We did most of the usual, but Ireland FINALLY got the wicked stepmother's autograph. She had been waiting a while for that one. Anywho, I'm off to bed...
I heard that Pres Weekend is crazy crowded too. Glad you had a wonderful day at MK! Do you have a custom autograph book? :goodvibes

Okay, I made everything except the red & white polka dot skirt my oldest DD is wearing. They got so many compliments on these outfits.
Yes, we did have a great trip. I have missed the disboards and my diboutiqers. I see so many new names I don't recognize. Nice to meet you!

They are just too stinkin cute! I love that first picture. That is exactly how I feel when I'm at Epcot too. :yay:

Your kids are so cute! I love how your oldest DD poses for the pics! She has the model pose down pat!

Lucky you! I am wishing for MK..........

OMG. is anyone watching the game?!?!

that last run down the field was AMAZING! Why couldn't the game be this exciting the WHOLE time?!

I haven't posted in forever. Been super busy. Here are a few pictures I meant to post a looong time ago from our Christmas trip. :santa:

I embellished the jumper my little one is wearing w/ those Mickey and Minnie patches and Mickey buttons. I bought the dress on eBay. I noticed she pushed her candy cane socks down. I made the patchwork skirt and the pillowcase dress. The blue skirt was made by one of the mom's from this thread (well, the old thread actually).

These are great! I would love to see a close-up of the jumper that you embellished!

I have made the YCMT.com A-line dress from CarlaC and YES it is easy.
th_MickeyMouseAlinedress003.jpg

Super cute and I love it paired with the red turtleneck.

I found some pics of some simple appliques I did when Louie was a baby. Here is a Nemo set:

I don't actually have a pic of him in that set, but here a couple more just to show of my adorable little cueball!

They were really easy to do - I just ironed heat n bond lite on the back of a scrap of the character fabric, cut out a square around the character, ironed it onto the background scrap, and ironed heat n bond lite to the back of that. Then I used my clear quilters ruler to mark the lines for the second square (usually 1/4" from the edges of the first square), cut along the lines, and fused the layered square to the top. This is before I knew how to satin stitch on knits, so I just zig-zagged - fast and cute! Just make sure you use a ball point needle!

Carla

Cute outfits and the little boy is a DOLL!!!!

I kind of liked the idea of cutting a lot of the face off. It gives it a more edgy look (or something :rotfl: ) This is the large Cinderella from the Wal-Mart pillowcase. The other side of the pillowcase did have 3 smaller princesses.

I mainly wanted to get lips and eyes in and have her still be recognizable as Cinderella.

th_DSCN3005.jpg

I do like how they look cut off some but if I know my "drama mama" of a 3 yr. old, she will not like that I cut her face off and not wear it!

Here's my Ariel outfit. I didn't make the pants, they are from the Disney Store but I loved that they matched everything perfect.

Hopefully this will work, I can't usually get pictures to post from the mac.

th_DSCF0980-1.jpg

Now if I could only get my All in One printer and the mac to talk to each other I could post pictures of the Valentine's peasant top and Mardi Gras top I made DD. They aren't speaking to each other so I have to figure out why...

Great outfit -- I love the colors together!

Okay, here are a few pictures from our September trip. I don't remember if I already posted these on the old thread or not.

Can you tell the girls are Minnie Pirate Princesses?
th_disney2007870.jpg

recognize the cool pink & black Mickey fabric? I made these skirts and I glued the rhinestones on the tops.
I have like 8 more outfits but I don't want to be a board hog!

Cute outfits and kiddos! And now I am dying for a Mickey bar!

Okay, i said I would stop.... why won't my kids keep their shoes on??
th_disney2007774.jpg

I made the older DD's skirt and DS's shorts & embroidered his shirt. DD2's dress was made by a sweet lady on eBay.
th_disney2007734.jpg

The girls dresses were made by a lady on ebay (before I found this board). They have Mickey heads appliqued on them with their names embroidered. I did make all my DD2's bows though.

Again, waaaay cute and the bandana looks are too cute!

I'm jealous! I wish I lived close enough to the World to take a day trip. I can't wait to see pics!

Well, I'm almost done with the shirt. I have to finish the areas where I ran the elastic and hem it. I'm not too sure what I think of it. I think the color is too pale for me. I'm proud of myself for getting this far on it and not giving up. It will be the first time I have ever sewn anything totally without assistance. I did ask my husband to verify I was laying the material out right before I cut it out but that was it. He is the sewer in the house.

Again, great job Aimee! They are all great but I really looooove that Belle dress -- Chip is too cute! I can't wait to see the girls in their outfits! And, there is no way that I could keep my outfits a secret, I have to try everything on all the time.

Here are my fabric finds today. 2 of the local quilt shops have $1 fat quarter day on SuperBowl Sunday. The first one was CRAZY with all the old ladies fighting for fat quarters. We got there 10 mins after in started and they barely had anything left (ladies were buying 200 + fat quarters). But this is all super nice fabric, although I have no idea what I'll make with it.
They had some great minnie dot and reverse minnie dot, but it was snagged before we got there :headache: .

th_disboutique106.jpg

Great fabric! I bet that was something seeing all those older women fighting for fabric!

Well there ya have it folks! The GIANTS WON!!

I know most of you are sewing. hahaha

I can't believe The Pats, walking off the field before the game was completely over. I dont know but that shows no class.

OK now its over. hahaha we are big football fans in this house. BUT the sewing must go on.

OK ladies so with the instructions from Tinka-Belle for the Bandanna skirt. I was able to finish this one in about an hour!! I happen to have everything I needed here. Its just my tester skirt. haha But Georgia loves it. However she wouldn't model it. Now we will see how the other girl scouts like them.

She didn't want to model but she still wanted to be in the picture. haha

The layers we not being my friend today. But it bunches up real nice so when it does it looks very even! hahaha gotta love that!

This is adorable! I am diggin' the bandana look!

I made my son's outfit but CastleCreations made the girls.

My DS's is made using that camo Mickey fabric.

I love the zebra look!

You know what I do not care about football and just turned on the tv to watch house but I am disgusted that the coach did that. IMO he just ruined a great season. I was so upset I called my Dad! LOL

My Dad called at 7:00 tonight to ask me who was going to win and I said the NYG because that was the only team I knew. I think I will stick to college ball. Well just Navy. :)

It took some Giants to take down the winningest team in football history and MAN DOES IT TASTE SWEET!!!!!

I'm convinced it was Belichicks Karma that lost them that game. Well, that and THE GIANTS KICK @$$
....t.

I went today and bought the silver ric-rac to add to Parker's skirt. I am quite please with how it turned out.

HSMskirt2.jpg

We went this afternoon and bought our Hannah Montona 3D movie tickets and when we got home I was telling Parker that she could wear her "Rock Princess" shirt (it has 2 tiny guitars on it) and she said "no, I have to wear my new skirt". So, we'll see what she will be wearing tomorrow.

Also, I had planned on appliqueing "I Love (heart) Troy" on the white l/s tee that I bought but I am really afraid it will bring it down some. What do you all think about this:

1) Finding a white shirt that has a bling heart on it (if I can find one) or
2) Having someone do embroidery on it?

It would be easy to add a bling heart to a white tee if you can't find one. you just iron on the bling! That would be cute. What about making the I heart Troy on an iron on, and then outline the heart in bling?

Lisa, Oh thank goodness you found us again....I was worried about you! Yaaaa :cool1: on your Disney trip! Sounds wonderful! I will take all old cast offs if you don't wear them...hahahaha:rotfl:

Thanks! My mind is already working overtime thinking about all the possibilities. I mentioned my ideas to Zoe and she informed me she wants only Minnie themed sets. As much as I love Minnie, it will be hard to not do other characters.

Oh, great score! I can understand why people were buying so many. I really like the B&W prints.

Love all the sets but this one is my favorite. I really want to make an Alice in Wonderland themed set. I love being able to pick out characters that aren't seen as often in Disney apparel.

Good for you! That style looks nice on you so maybe just trying a different color next time will do the trick. I've been thinking about the need to make some tops and pants for myself. I can never find the styles in colors I like.

I love the friends halter top... what pattern did you use?

Funny you would mention this! I have been working on finding the old posts, and started putting them on a blog! I've only tracked down a few so far though. The blog is here if anyone wants to check it out: http://disboutique.blogspot.com/ I haven't gotten very far though, as you can see!
I'll link to it from the bookmarks too.
Most of the bookmarks aren't on the Dis, so I don't know that I'll add them to it. And, the pictures are all on a Photobucket account,so we have all those.

I know that Teresa quoted someone here, but somehow it was lost when I quoted.

ACTUALLY, that thought HAS been brought up before:
http://disboutiquers.proboards106.com/index.cgi

The thought of this was met with GREAT opposition, most of which is felt by top posters of this thread as well as the original. The overwhelming thought seems to be that if we aren't attached at the DIS, and all on this thread, that it's not a good thing. Or at least that's what the thought that has been presented here has been. BUT... now it appears that maybe that isn't the thought... who knows?

What I DO know... the original thread is gone. I personally have made SEVERAL requests to MODS to please give an explanation as to where/when the thread is or if it will be back. I've not as much as received a courtesy PM. NOTHING! I know that I personally, as well as MANY here that spent a LOT of time and energy pouring into that thread. I feel as if we've been misled about the thread. I also feel that this thread will disappear quickly as well. And as much as I hate to sound nasty, I don't have it in me to post detailed instructions or help in this thread as I know it will be soon be gone as well. I'm more than willing to help someone out via PM, and have done it many times. I'm also working on posting instructions that I've noticed on this thread onto the site that I've already posted. It's a means of archiving information so that it's not ripped out from under me again.

I've invited anyone to join me. Many have joined, but few have posted. Perhaps when this thread goes under as well, others will see the value of a board that we can have a bit more control of.

Balle---did you use a pillowcase type pattern? and add a ruffle? it is too cute!

Heather and I both just made Ariel customs, with the same pillowcase from Wal Mart. I used tutti fruitti fabric on sale from JoAnn's and Heather used pretty sparkly fabric. Here is mine:

and here is hers:
