Ok, I'm needing ideas. SOmething is missing from these dresses, any ideas? There is actually 2 of each.

Cute dresses!!

I actually used that Ariel material last year with a tank top in the same color as the top you have, made the same type of dress. I thought it was missing something as well. My dd was so skinny that I had to put elastic in the waist :) I cut out one of the Ariel's and glued it onto the shirt, outlined it with a glittery fabric paint and then just put a little ruffle on the bottom of the skirt.

Here are my fabric finds today. 2 of the local quilt shops have $1 fat quarter day on SuperBowl Sunday. The first one was CRAZY with all the old ladies fighting for fat quarters. We got there 10 mins after in started and they barely had anything left (ladies were buying 200 + fat quarters). But this is all super nice fabric, although I have no idea what I'll make with it.
They had some great minnie dot and reverse minnie dot, but it was snagged before we got there :headache: .

Okay, I wasn't going to multi quote. I take so much longer when I do, then I started seeing such beautiful things I thought I better, but I only went back 2 pages. I think I have scanned through all the pages since I left tuesday (I swear there are like a million a day) and love everything.

Aimee, I love cheshire. I didn't even realize you were making one. And belle is adorable! But cheshire, the stripes are just perfect.

UM, something, sorry I forget now, I LOVE all the little outfits! How cute!

UP Disney, that is an awesome shirt. I should try making myself something since I never feel shirts look right on me.

I love the Nemo and Ariel dresses, I think they are fine the way they are.

The baby is the cutest! And I know there were like a million other things!

Utah and friends, looked like Hannah was a hit!

Stephres, Megan as always is adorable, I am sure she was loving her new outfit and didn't mean to get it all dirty!

Heather, Ariel is great! Does Sawyer have any customs for disney? I think Tessa has more then days you'll be there.

I want to thank everyone for taking the time to look at the outfits I posted and for all the kind comments. The concensus is I am going to add the eyelet ruffle to the capris and I'll post a revised picture when I am done.

I am not sure how to multi-quote yet, but I love all the pictures everyone has been posting. You guys do some amazing work! I can only hope I can get that good one day!

I made my first twirl skirt today for AK. I'll post a picture of that soon, too.

Ok, this was my first time with CarlaC'S a-line jumper. I bought the fabric at the end of last summer really cheap. This is the before picture. After this we went to Jacob's soccer game and she got mud on her knees. If I can't get it out, I guess I'll have to add some patches to cover. I was so mad!

100_2232.jpg
Oh Steph its absolutely adorable! I love the dots in the background of the butterflys....and the shape of it with those cute pants! So did you get the stains out. Hahahaha I thought of you when the Superbowl ad came on about the stain talking....hahaha  I only run out to see the funny commercials!

I haven't posted in forever. Been super busy. Here are a few pictures I meant to post a looong time ago from our Christmas trip. :santa:

I embellished the jumper my little one is wearing w/ those Mickey and Minnie patches and Mickey buttons. I bought the dress on eBay. I noticed she pushed her candy cane socks down. I made the patchwork skirt and the pillowcase dress. The blue skirt was made by one of the mom's from this thread (well, the old thread actually).
Cute cute cute!!! Thanks for posting them....how was your trip?!

I found some pics of some simple appliques I did when Louie was a baby. Here is a Nemo set:

th_26a.jpg

I don't actually have a pic of him in that set, but here a couple more just to show of my adorable little cueball!

Carla
Oh Carla, Louie is sooo adorable! Look at those pics in your sweet outfits...:cutie: you made. How old is he now????

Here's my Ariel outfit. I didn't make the pants, they are from the Disney Store but I loved that they matched everything perfect.

Hopefully this will work, I can't usually get pictures to post from the mac.

th_DSCF0980-1.jpg

Now if I could only get my All in One printer and the mac to talk to each other I could post pictures of the Valentine's peasant top and Mardi Gras top I made DD. They aren't speaking to each other so I have to figure out why...
Very nice jumper! I love the ruffles~ Sorry about the rift between you hardware....perhaps chocolate will help  It does me when I am not talking :rolleyes1

Okay, here are a few pictures from our September trip. I don't remember if I already posted these on the old thread or not.

Can you tell the girls are Minnie Pirate Princesses?
disney2007870.jpg

recognize the cool pink & black Mickey fabric? I made these skirts and I glued the rhinestones on the tops.
I have like 8 more outfits but I don't want to be a board hog!
No such thing as a board hog round these parts! Long as the kids have a few stitches of clothing on, we want to see them! Course we can see the girls are pirate princesses...and cute ones at that!

Well, I'm almost done with the shirt. I have to finish the areas where I ran the elastic and hem it. I'm not too sure what I think of it. I think the color is too pale for me. I'm proud of myself for getting this far on it and not giving up. It will be the first time I have ever sewn anything totally without assistance. I did ask my husband to verify I was laying the material out right before I cut it out but that was it. He is the sewer in the house.

Great job on the top! I love it...I don't tan either :3dglasses

I finished a couple things this weekend.

Here is Blue Belle with little chip.

nemodresses001-2.jpg

It goes with this.

funfabric080.jpg

Finally I cannot remember if I posted the improved Nemo Dresses. These were the first thing I ever made. I had to adjust the babes because it was too long.

nemodresses001-1.jpg

I cannot wait until my girls can see all this! It is killing me!!!!

Aimee seriously how do you keep it all a secret??? When do you leave? I love the outfits!!!! How are you managing? Don't they see what you are sewing? My kids are climbing all over me as I Dis or sew! :headache: :rolleyes1

What cute customs everyone has posted this weekend. It's taken me quite awhile to catch up on this thread!

Those look great! I think a ribbon and a bow in a coorinating color around the gathers would finish it off! Here's an idea of what it might look like. Not exactly the same but similar.

I was SOOOO sad when I thought our thread had disappeared :guilty: I know I am mostly a lurker. I mean let's face it, I don't really know how to sew so I can't offer much advice on anything other than dog training which is way off topic :lmao: but it was ALL of you that inspired me to learn how to sew! DH did buy me a Disney Brother SE270D which has been sitting on my dining room table taunting me and daring me to learn how to use it  I am scared of it and the manual doesn't help matters  So, when I thought our thread and all of you were gone I panicked :scared1: and I was moping around thinking , now what am I gonna do :confused3 Oh I am so happy I found everyone again :grouphug: All righty then...I am going to go initiate another staring contest with my machine :3dglasses I am going to learn this blasted thing today :teacher: and I am only stopping for the most important thing on tv later...COMMERCIALS :happytv:

Terrie
I could use some dog training advice. I'm about to scream with frustration with our baby. She goes potty in the house all the time. Sometimes right after we take her outside.

I here you on the mud stains. DD wore her Mardi Gras dress today and sat in the mud. Then she kept jumping around and I kept telling her that she was going to fall and sure enough she fell right into a puddle. I'm hoping it will come clean. My grandmother buys this stuff that gets almost any stain out of clothes. It's called M30. It's a gel like stuff. It works great.

UMTerp- I love those AG clothes. They look awesome.
Aimeeg- I love the Cheshire Cat outfit. Where did you find the black material with the smiles on it?

PM me and I'll see if I can offer some helpful suggestions. How old is she and what breed is she?

OK ladies so with the instructions from Tinka-Belle for the Bandanna skirt. I was able to finish this one in about an hour!! I happen to have everything I needed here. Its just my tester skirt. haha But Georgia loves it. However she wouldn't model it. Now we will see how the other girl scouts like them.

She didn't want to model but she still wanted to be in the picture. haha

You did a fantastic job. I'm so happy that my instructions were clear. I'm not good at giving directions. I absolutely love the embellishments you added. That is too cute.

Here is how . . .

1. I do not sleep enough! LOL
2. My older daughter goes to preschool on T/TH so that gives me the whole day. The girl will not let me pick her up before 5 pm.
3. My younger daughter is 18 months old and is fascinated with cutting things out. She stands on her little chair and helps me. She is in charge of throwing away the scraps. It is really cute.
4. My DH is in grad school so at night he is working on his homework. He takes off Thursdays and Friday nights. We watch Lost on Thursdays and he crashes on Fridays. He commutes three hours a day.
5. DH also knows how important it is for me to finish my plan so he has been taking the girls on little outings on the weekends . . . the bookstore, starbucks and the almighty Chick Fila playground. LOL We are looking forward to spring!!!
6. Finally he bought me a Viking sewing machine so I better use it!

ETA- I have everything hanging up in our coat closet cause heavens knows my almost four year never goes in there! LOL

Tinka, your instructions were great. I would expect the next one to be much better!! Thank you again!

I would so were that Bling Belle shirt and skirt!!! That is such an adorable set.

I love these outfits! You would think they would be smiling more when eating Mickey Bars!!!!

UMTerp

LOL! I think those are looks of focus and determination! "I will eat the Mickey Bar before it melts and falls to the ground... you will not get away from me this time!"

Yes, we did have a great trip. I have missed the disboards and my diboutiqers. I see so many new names I don't recognize. Nice to meet you!

What do you guys think about putting all the important information (i.e. instructions, ideas, ...etc) into a website or something similar (maybe a blog type website???) so that way it won't be link to the original thread..and if they ever take away the thread again, we would have all the information stored somewhere else to go back to. If you let me know what kind of information everyone wants saved...I would be willing to take all those information and put it on a website for everyone to share. I am thinking something like blogger or maybe wordpress? What do you guys think?

Oh, just wanted to add if you guys think it is a bad idea, it won't hurt my feelings...just a suggestion.

Funny you would mention this! I have been working on finding the old posts, and started putting them on a blog! I've only tracked down a few so far though. The blog is here if anyone wants to check it out: http://disboutique.blogspot.com/ I haven't gotten very far though, as you can see!
I'll link to it from the bookmarks too.
Most of the bookmarks aren't on the Dis, so I don't know that I'll add them to it. And, the pictures are all on a Photobucket account,so we have all those.

ETA: The blog is NOT to replace this thread, I was just putting the posts that I would usually bookmark from THIS thread in the blog, in case this thread gets "hidden" like the last one. Please don't post on the blog.

I haven't posted in forever. Been super busy. Here are a few pictures I meant to post a looong time ago from our Christmas trip. :santa:

I cannot wait until my girls can see all this! It is killing me!!!!

I tell you what...with a recession on the horizon, they may really have to lower the prices. Thanks for this wonderful tip! And Disney has really priced themselves out of my league. Seriously, who can afford to stay at the deluxe resorts??? Well perhaps half of you all reading this:rotfl2: ...but my DH and I both work and we don't splurge on much we can't afford it. Who can??? OK I think I have already complained this complaint so I'm getting off my soapbox now  .

I know what you mean, we could never afford to do Disney if we stayed onsite! We are what most people would consider poor! Poor enough to get a nice tax refund every year, so we use that to go to Disney. Last year we spent more than planned, since we had to fly at the last minute (quite literally!) We spent $2,400 for everything, (all our food, gas, hotel, flight, tickets, rental car...) which I hear really isn't bad for a two week Florida vacation, but it was QUITE a bit more than we usually spend! :scared1:

Hi All! today we spent the day at MK...boy was it crowded!! It was hot, too so that didn't help things. Ireland is already in bed, she fell asleep in the car on the way home, and my feet are so sore, they feel like I walked 100 miles.
I will post some pictures tomorrow. We did most of the usual, but Ireland FINALLY got the wicked stepmother's autograph. She had been waiting a while for that one. Anywho, I'm off to bed...
