And hold the phone, I can't find the original...but DEANN: do you have a close up of the bucket hats you made for your girls with the ribbon Mickey shirts? I just saw these in Misty's post & they are precious! I don't know if I could coax my boys back into buckets (hats, that is), but it's worth a shot!! Post photos of them if you've got 'em?

Jham: your photos/creations are awesome also! Your littlest is the cutest little doll! She makes me smile every time-her bows & cute smile are absolutely captivating!

Someone was asking for first sewing projects - well mine aren't interesting - I've only been sewing a wee while

but a baby carrier for me (em is about 8-10ish weeks old I think)

and a matching one for izzy

and nappies/diapers

were all sewn in the same weekend with help from some friends All nice easy stuff to start on

oh I like that! That is awesome. geesh wish I would have made one of those. they are spendy and that looks fashionable!!

Nope, doesn't hurt your back - it has really wide padded straps and the weight is distributed evenly. I still use this one now (even though I have a whole collection of carriers ) and can carry Izzy at 3years on my back - she is about 16kgs which I think is 35lbs (not 100%sure of my math though)

I'll probably take one of my slings or carriers (maybe I can make a special disney one ) when we go as they fold up nicely and fit in your bag - and if your going to carry a child you may as well do it handsfree and comfy

for the carrier I used a friends pattern - but there are free patterns on this site http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/Baby/

for the diaper it is my own pattern based on a few that suited em at the time.

That's exactly what I was thinking, see, I had pedicure envy! I really don't pay attention to my toe nails until the heat kicks up around here (sandal, shoeless weather). I tend to jam my pigger toes in thick ol socks until then & pretend they don't exist. Who has the time? Wait, it's the end of summer, in New Zealand, right? That's why her (Flea's?) toes are all fabulous & glam! I'm jealous! (and just got a clue, duh! My blonde roots are showing! Lol!)

Yep summer here oh and I have my slave...whoops I mean sister living with me so I get her to be my beautician -payment for all the food she eats

I will be CASEing this!! Too Cute!! DD is also Hannah obsessed. I found the top material at Wal-Mart and DD said "I have to have to an outfit with this." She wants everything Hannah Montana right now. I have promised her a couple of outfits and a CD this weekend. I guess I'll go ahead and pick up the material at the same time.

too jealous to respond (but I guess I already did) we got so much snow here today (about 8-10" in 3 hours) I got trapped away from home. I finally made it home, but not all the way to the garage, I got stuck in my driveway! Wish I were back in Florida!!!

OK, Steph, I have a question for you: did you cry when you cut Megan's hair??

I just cut 8" off of Brianna's hair. it was SUPPOSED to be four, but she moved while the scissors were cutting. Her hair is around her chin now (from halfway down her back).

Oh, and we're doing BBB in April, and she doesn't have enough hair for a ponytail.

It is a Raggedy Hearts and Stars ragtime quilt

Did it take long to make something like that? What a nice thing to do for your friend.

It took a few hours to cut all the material into squares, cut the inside batting (sp?) and then to cut all the Mickey heads. To actually sew it took like an afternoon. I did things in like an assembly style...kinda fashion...to make it go faster.

OMG, that is adorable!!! I would like the directions also! You didn't know what you were getting into posting that on here, did ya?

Is it possible for me to scan the directions and put them on here or what? I don't want to break ANY rules.
