I am here too, I have to catch up though. DD 6 came down with MRSA and had been on antibiiotics for 2 wks. Then my mother who lives with us ended up in the hospital because she was in pain and we didn't know why, turns out my 77 yr old diabetic mom had an open wound on her leg and never said anything and now she is in the hospital with a wound vac on and will likely need one more surgery, she too has MRSA we think she had it first and let it go. A word of caution to you all if you have a mark on you that you THINK is a spider bite, or a boil, GO TO THE DR get it checked. I hope the rest of you are doing well. Good to have a new home I guess.
Lori

So sorry about your DD. My DD4 had MRSA twice so far. Once in August 2006 and once this past December. It’s not fun. I got it after she did the first time. It’s very painful. I hope she’s feeling better! And your mom, too!

That hair is gorgeous! What, look at the clothes? I am easily distracted. I think it would look cute with a ruffle or without. I would worry that it might be too long with a ruffle, so maybe shorten it a but if you do that? It looks so cute and easy. And the tutu is so cool. I have yet to try one.

I think the dress would be cute with just a hem or a ruffle, either one. Sorry, that wasn't much help!! We're big MI fans here, so I  the Sully tutu. Actually today, we're going to buy fur at Joanns that looks just like Sully. I have no idea why, but my girls are insisting that we buy it!

I love your dds hair! I always wanted a red headed girl or one with curly hair... I have four and they all have blond straight hair  figures!

Yes she has the temper to match too ;) - my youngest is the opposite - lots of dark straight hair and darker skin- she was born with a head full of hair where as Izzy was almost bald until 12mths then she had just a tiny bit - and still there is really not much there to tie up . Em also has the completely opposite personality - she is very laid back :cloud9:

Here is my bubba :cutie:

Here's dd2 in her Nemo custom at wdw on 12/1/07 - I think I found more of that ocean fabric at the nifty little sewing shop on Saturday. It was up high on a shelf, so I couldn't see for sure. But, I will be going back soon to see!
th_resizedemma3.jpg

Wow - love this nemo one - your dd is just too darn cute :)

Wasn't sure if I posted this here or not. I made dd7 a Cinderella cleaning dress to wear to CRT (that's what she wanted!) and dd8 a Jasmine custom.
th_crt4.jpg

Jasmine outfit is very very cool - l love it - is that one of those redondo skirts???

Here is dd2's Little Einstein outfit, also dd8 in front of her showing off her Dream FP that we got at MGM.
th_mgmdreamfp.jpg

OMG I love these - Especially the Little einsteins (or leinsteins as miss Izzy 3 calls it :) )

I just finished the jeans to go with my Pooh outfit. I love how all of this came together. Very subtle and feminine. I am now officially done sewing for out trip! Only have to suffer through today and tomorrow at home!

This is the stripwork jumper and peasant top:

Here are the jeans to match:

This came up really well - The colours work so well together

awwww too cute :)

Is the board really slow for anyone else, or is it just my internet today? It is taking FOREVER for the pages to open, and I have DSL.

It's FLYING for me.
I really think cutting back the big threads worked.

This "retro" dress is adorable & I love the colors! Great job! Cool purple toenails!;) .

whoops how did those get in there :confused3 I didn't even notice - still learning about this camera stuff lol (note to self - keep feet out of shot ;) )

They are BOTH precious! I love the firey red hair. My ex had red hair and I wanted a little girl with red hair ... it did not happen for me though. DD is about as dark headed as you can get. ;)

Funny you say that because neither DH or I have red hair - well actually I have slightly red hair but more brown than anything. My brother has red hair, my grandmother had red hair as did DH's grandmother. Looks like it was that recessive gene coming into play there ;)

Hello Everyone!! I have been lurking on this "new" thread since it's conception. . . thanks to a link provided to me on UtahMama's TR. . .

I have always wanted to sew more, and I have a machine - but it is in the box :scared1: I have only used it a handful of times. I do not have kiddie's yet, but I do have a couple of friends that are brand new mommy's. I just bought a pattern to make shopping cart covers - though no fabric or anything else yet. So I guess I will be making a trip to JoAnn's or a Super walmart sometime soon. . .

Thanks for providing inspiration!
:welcome: Post pictures of what you make!
Hi boutiquers!

I just wanted to share these jeans I got from an ebay/etsy seller. My dd is obsessed with Hannah Montana! (necklace is by me, shirt is by WalMart boutique).:lmao:

th_hm2.jpg

What seller did you get the pants from? Those are really cute!

Wish I had something in sewing to post. sigh...I've been sick with some kinda flu type bug & not real motivated.

Oh, & Teresa...I confess..I too was of the rabbit ear fan club, until about 4 months ago. DH had us cross over to the darkside & get a deal with FIOS. No movies, just basic-but still!! I'm lovin' the home shows & music channels, but still...there's nothing on! I regret the switch sometimes.

Uggh, sorry you've been sick!

Did YOU have an antenna topper on top though!!! :rotfl:
Glad I'm not the only one who can't see Heather's signature!

It's FLYING for me.
I really think cutting back the big threads worked.
I wish it were for me! Every other site I've gone on today is fast, just not this one!

So I went and bought a few things ... I have NO idea what I am going to do with a lot of it but I figure something will pop out at me eventually. :) It was on clearance and well I have issues. ;)

sewing031.jpg

Bunch of different color swirly fabric. Thinking I may use some of this on the little ones blanket.

sewing029.jpg

I bought four panels of the Frosty it was .90 a panel! Then I bought what was left of the star warz no clue about what I will do with it though.

sewing027.jpg

Then these. Revrob they still had about 2 to 4 yards of this left when I left. She said a lot of people had bought it today. There was a WHOLE bolt yesterday! Did you go to Kilgore lol.

I forgot to mention that I am a sewing novice. I have only sewed a handful of times :) I am totally inspired by all of you.

My machine is fixed and I am ready to sew. Unfortunately, I have to make curtains first. That is how I convinced hubby to get my machine fixed :(

I went to JoAnns and bought fabric. I am so excited. I am going to whip through those curtains so I can get going on an outfit.

Maybe next week I will have pictures.

WOO HOO!!! Go ahead post pictures of the curtains too!

Okay, I officially give up trying to keep up with this thread. Old, new, I just can't do it.

Camping Griswalds - Love all your outfits!! Sounds like you have everything very well planned! Have a fabulous trips and be sure to take tons of pics!

DeAnn - Thanks for sharing your trip pictures. You did usch a nice job on all the outfits and you can tell that the girls love them!

Jham - Love all your trip pictures! Your kid are so beautiful and looks like you all had a blast!

EnchantedPrincess - WooHoo on getting your shorts figured out! I always have to stop and think about how to sew short. Pants are a bit easier not to do backwards. :lmao:

Ms McKenna - I love all those swirlies! I got the dark pink and that lighter teal blue to use in DD's easter dress.

Flea - your girlies are so sweet. Thanks for sharing!

I apologize if I missed anyone ( I know I obviously did), but I haven't seen anything that wasn't great! It's so nice to see everyon'e ideas and hard work turn into these darling outfits.

Post pictures of your new curtains!! I need some new ones in my bathroom and living room, but I can't decide what I want.

Those are so cute!! It's boutique project, that's for sure!

Don't you just hate being cold though!

And, your new siggy pictures are adorable!

:goodvibes Aww, thank you so much Teresa!!!!

This calls for some pictures!:rotfl:
She's 10 months old in these pictures:

45e8.jpg

She's getting ready to try to climb the stairs for the 100th time that day in the last picture.
There are so many more where these came from, but you get the idea of how busy she was, and at a young age!!

:cutie: What a little cutie pie!!! Don't you just love looking back at how small there used to be!!! So cute!!!

You are Talented- WOW I just did a little fabric painting at work today- It's kinda fun!!!!

Thank you so much! You get to fabric paint at work??? WOW, I want your job! Hahaha.

That is very cute!!
Aww, thank you!!!!!!!!!

You painted those? WOW! That's pretty amazing work!!
Aww, you are making me blush, thanks so much!!!!!

Those are very boutique! They look like the ones they sell on :wizard: for hundreds of dollars! Your little one is so cute, too.
:wizard: You are too kind, thank you so much!!! I had to paint my own as I can't afford those artists on :wizard: LOL. Thanks for the sweet comment on my little one too.

OMG, how cute! You painted those?! Amazing job!!
Yeppers, I painted them but it is a good thing you can't see them up close. Hahahaha. :rotfl2:

Aww I think that is so cute, just like your little one!!!

Don't you just love how dd2's pants blend so well with Minnie's skirt. This is the Walmart dots and I think they look much better than the stuff from Joanns.
minnie4resized.jpg

Oh I love this picture. So cute!!! I love when the outfits match the charcaters. I tried to do that with my little one as well. I have a couple pictures of my daughter with dots hugging Minnie too. I might have to post to share!!!

Wasn't sure if I posted this here or not. I made dd7 a Cinderella cleaning dress to wear to CRT (that's what she wanted!) and dd8 a Jasmine custom.

Those customs are AWESOME, you did a GREAT job!!!!

Here is dd2's Little Einstein outfit, also dd8 in front of her showing off her Dream FP that we got at MGM.

Too cute again...and WOW DREAM FP - how lucky for you!!!!! Awesome!!!

Very cute and definitely something you would find on Voldemort! Great job!

:goodvibes Aww, thank you so much!!!

Oh no, not the dreaded "delete all"! :scared1:
Our Dad doesn't know how to get the pictures off his digital camera, so when the card is full, he just deletes all of the pictures and starts over. Good idea, no? :rotfl:
!

:scared1: :scared1: OMG are you kidding me??? He just DELETES all the pictures???? Wow, you guys need to show him again how to get the pictures off the camera or just do it for him. Doesn't your sister live next door?? (Can you tell pictures mean the world to me??? :lmao: :cheer2:

Is the board really slow for anyone else, or is it just my internet today? It is taking FOREVER for the pages to open, and I have DSL.
Mine is taking forever to load too and I have DSL.

Oh your daughter is so cute, love the outfit too!!!! Love her hair up like tht too.....ROCK On!!!! hehehehe

I think I'd like to try the painted jean thing. What type of paints do you use? Basic acrylic & set it with a sealer or do you use fabric paints? Do tell, I feel a need to CAB (Copy And Butcher)!!:)
I just used some cheap fabric paint that I had here at home. I wish I knew what those professional artists use. Theirs always look so nice and smooth, lets just say mine looked good from a distance. Hahahaha :rotfl2:

Were these all on clearance in Kilgore? Are they closing the fabric department there? I don't think I'm gonna be able to get there today (have a viewing tonight, and a funeral in the morning). The soonest I can get there is tomorrow afternoon. I hope they have some left by the time I get there.

Thanks for the compliments! The Hannah Montana jeans are by rae*danae. (I wasn't sure if I could post her id here or not the first time.)

I love coming and drooling over this thread! :cool1:

These minnie dot pants where the first custom Disney item I ever sewed!!! (I did some sewing before that but merely for Halloween costumes...no need to share those...hahahha) Oh and I "Disneyfied" the shirt too by ironing on some letters and Minnie!!!

MinnieTaylor4x6.jpg

Anyway, here she is meeting Minnie Mouse for the very first time!!!!

DayTwo154_filtered4x6.jpg
