I was going to try and multiquote but this thread is moving too fast!

Castle, I love your Minnie outfit and your Sailor outfit. Your work is always so cute and you pay a lot of attention to details. The hats on the I's in Minnie are just too cute!

I love the veggie tales overalls. They are so cute. Me and the kids need to go see that movie. Maybe tomorrow while DH is studying.

The Buzz dress is great I love it. THose sheets made a very cute dress.

I also loved the Red Sox diaper. What a cutie pie. I really would love to have another one. Maybe this year.

I'm so excited, my first outfit to share on the new thread!! After much debating, i finally decided on my first ever twirl skirt for dinner at The Crystal Palcace! I love the way it turned out! I'll be making more of this type of skirt!! It is made from a storybook kit from Joann's.

This is adorable! I will have to give these another look. This was a great idea.

I went to JoAnn's and got some bargains. I got a remnant of pink fleece for only 2.56 because it had a little dirt on it. Great for making dog coats. I also got some pale blue flannel 40% off. I want to CASE the Wendy Darling nightgown! I am also working on a Hannah Montana Nightgown and a set of Tinkerbell pajamas. If you live in Metro Atlanta my sister found the Hannah Montana Flannel and some High School Musical fabric at the Joann's in Alpharetta.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Okay, I just got back from the World last night and was all ready to do some catching up and it was gone! So I found you all again right away, and it looks like I still have plenty of catching up, but I feel a bit weird that I missed so much! Maybe when I get caught up I'll know more of what's going on, or maybe not :rotfl: So I can't wait to post some photos! I'm currently trying to upload 700 photos from my camera and I need to order my photopass CD. I have 164 photos on there. I think I may have to do a mini TR on the TR board just so I can tell you all about my trip and share a ton of photos! My disboutiquer friends will probably be the only ones who show up to read it since this is usually the only place I hang out. We had a great trip, Lily got tons of attention in her customs. I'll probably be caught up on this thread (except for the missing week! I feel like I have amnesia or something) by the time all of my photos upload and I get some into photobucket.

Welcome back!! Can't wait to see the pictures and glad you found us!

Love the storybook. I have tons of Mickey Mouse ones! Maybe I should do something with it. Maybe I should go through my stash!

How are DS's customs coming along? I have only seen 1 shirt for him!

I am so excited!! I just got this fabric in the mail today from "the site that shall not be named!". I paid way too much for it, but I've tried to get it for some months. Kirsta has had 3 variations of the Blue cinderella fabric for her special dress with Cinderella and this is new and different!!

That dress is amazing! The new Cinderella is quite cute!

I made these!! Yay, I get to help someone!! I asked the same questinos before I made them, LOL.

I don't cut open the side seam, I just measure about 2" from under the arm, use heat n bond (lite) on the ribbon to keep it from moving while you stitch it, and fold under the ends. You can't tell the ends are folded under. I use regular thread all purpose I think. My best tip I got was to use the heat n bond on the ribbon! It makes a world of difference!! Just remember - grosgrain ribbon (probably all ribbon) doesn't like a hot iron!! I learned this the hard way!

I better remember that about the ribbon, guess I have been lucky not to melt any so far!

I LOVE some of these outfits. I have two questions...

1) how do you go about getting such cute things if you don't sew?

2) Are there any threads about customized t-shirts?

THANKS!

Ebay is a good place to start looking. If you see something on here that you like, you can always send a pm to the creator. Some of us (myself included ;) ) don't sell on ebay, but would be happy to make an outfit for you.

How are DS's customs coming along? I have only seen 1 shirt for him.

I'm making him a few Mickey tees. Poor little man has to wear store bought clothes for most of our trip! :rotfl2: I'll post pictures of the outfits I've got soon. Still need to finish up a few things.

Someone, I think it was Teresa or Heather offered to help me with my avatar. But now I can't remember which one it was and I can't find the post.

:confused3 Can someone help me with my avatar?

It was Heather but you can e-mail me a picture and I will reduce it for you. PM me or Heather. :)

My DD wears her Alice crocs a lot while we're at Disney, they are really cute and apparently really comfy.

I still don't know whether I'm going to make Delaney a custom princess dress of her own or let her wear the Giselle dress my inlaws sent. (I had them send it is a smaller size for our trip, Delaney has been wearing the bigger one when she dresses up but it's too big for being in the parks.)

Delaney wears her customs in the parks too. I try to gear hers toward her comfort level and how rough she is on stuff.

I decided to check out the "new" thread and could not resist posting this pic (I made it before I "dropped out" but DD did not get to wear until recently;)

I've seen the Hannah Montana satin but I haven't seen the Hannah flannel. DD saw the HM satin and wants an outfit with that. So I guess that is my next project.

Here is DD's Mardi Gras dress and hat.

The applique on the top of the dress. This is my first ever actual applique. I did the detail on the face myself. I wouldn't have done it without the motivation of you people. Thanks.

Hello ladies,

I don't know how to do this, but I need help... I want to buy some High school musical fabric... but I can't find any... I'm from a small town in Canada and our Wal Mart is closing down the fabric department... I'm sooo upset, because they do have a little bit of Disney fabric and I was happy with it... but when I ask for some High school ones, they replied that no, we can't get it because we are closing down the department :scared1:

If anyone can help me out here, I would be very happy and how to do this, I don't have a pay pal account, don't even know how to get one :confused3 ... appreciate any help... thank you!!!

Great job!!! Your daughter is so cute!!!

When do you take down your tree?

I've only seen the sheets, I haven't seen the actual fabric yet.

I would though suggest that you call and write Walmart to let them know how you feel about them closing the fabric department. We had one close near us, and they reopened when people complained so much! It can't hurt to try!

Do your children wear the outfits all day in the parks?? or is it normally for special stuff (character meals etc).

What shoes do they wear so they fit in with the outfit but are still comfortable enough for all that walking??

Already on there is the Amy Butler Weekender bag - think I might try to disneyfy it :rolleyes1

A big disney quilt for each of the girls (this is for christmas) made from Minky :cloud9:

Some outfits......

Is there anything else I need to get addicted too :rolleyes1

My girls wore their customs all day, we even changed for different meals and such. They wore mostly crocs that coordinated w/their outfits.

I think you need to make Ispy Bags too, because you don't have enough on your list ;)

I like this one! Have you used it yet? Is it easy?

How is the quality of their fabric? I have them saved as one of my favorite sells but haven't purchased anything from them yet..

I've not used it yet, but the description said "100% cotton" and I think it's a blend. It doesn't feel like a high thread count, so I'm guessing medium quality.

Deann...what do you have planned for the Marie fabric? My oldest DD loves Marie!!!!

I plan to make something like glorib made... a peasant top using this, some pink/green dots and white paired with jeans w/Marie appliqued on the leg.

Pics!!!!! Hurry!! I can't wait to see your kids, they are so adorable... especially that baby!

Your 1st twirl skirt?! :woohoo: Adorable!

I've used some of the fabric from malaysia. You have to be careful not to use too hot of an iron on it. It will melt. And after awhile, it gets all old and pilly looking. I used some in my patchwork jacket, and didn't have any trouble with it looking old. but then that is the look of my jackets.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm not sure I like this fabric. It's cute and dd2 loves it, and how long is it going to fit her anyway?! It should last long enough to be passed to a couple others when we're done.

I LOVE some of these outfits. I have two questions...

THANKS!

There are some extremely talented people on the Creative DISigns thread and you can make iron-on Tshirts from there. We're here if you need any help. As for sewing, we're all here to help each other so don't be afraid to try! If that's definitely not an option, then we can help you find what you need. You can't discuss buying/selling on here, but you can pm someone if you're interested in anything.

I would help out but I haven't seen any of the HSM fabric yet.

When do you take down your tree?

I was in the middle of taking down the tree when I got the lice call. So that's why there aren't any ornaments on the tree. I plan on taking the tree down later today.

tnmom25-I used the pattern today. It's the pic I posted of DD's Mardi Gras dress. It was very easy. It required a zipper in the back though. That was the hardest part.

I have that same pattern, but the year I bought it DD decided that she wanted to be a witch so I didn't get a chance to use it. Your DD is so cute in this pic and dress.

This pic is for those who commented.
