Happy Friday everyone! I am re-unlurking again to let everyone know that at the disney store website, they are having 25% off the new arrivals, which include the princess petticoat!:cool1:

YOU ARE SOOOOOO BAD! I'd held off until now, but today I see Hannah in her petti and Aimee saying she can wear it to school! And now this! I am weak! :sad2: They don't even have her size and I'm still buying it! But I also got DD10 a cute Hannah Montana tank top and leggings to wear under a petti :rolleyes1 Especially if she decides to be Miley Cyrus for Halloween :rolleyes1 A girl's gotta be prepared! I just HATE it when DH gets the AMEX bill. :scared:

That is certainly great news! I got some today also. Kirsta has been struggling with 1st grade. In part because she doesn't want to be there. And second, we think was from her hearing. She improved dramatically after she had tubes in her ears, tonsils and annoids out. She still doesn't like to read. But today she came home with 100% on her spelling test!!
Yay on the 100%!!!:cool1: I love those 100%'s.

I FINALLY have some pictures to post. I have been sewing my fingers off, making 4 outfits for someone's cruise.
Since they have the Toy Story show onboard, she wanted Toy Story outfits as well...here they are..

And here is Miss Ireland in her Webkinz dress. We went to the local hallmark store so she could get a new one and play some games. It was fun!She brought home a new Orange and White cat named Nala. So now we have Reindeer, Greg, Little Inky, Little Abby, Princess, Bruno, Cassie, Cinderella, Lucky, and a few others, I can't think of the names right now..LOL

I love each one of those outfits. They are so pretty.

HI:
I finally came out of the hospital after almost a week, well... the headache turned really bad and I was on morphine to control pain, I had a spinal tap and was told that the shunt is not working the doctors wanted to do the surgery while I was in the hospital but I refused, I need time to get everything ready as the surgery takes time to recover...

I do have a lot of pages to read :scared1: to catch on but all the outfits are so beautiful and you gals are so talented that I feel bad just showing my attempts to sew I got to sew some pants(shorts) for my boys

BTW do not mind the 2006 calendar in the refrigerator:laughing:

Linnette
I love your curtains and your sons are so cute. Oh and so are your handbags. I keep seeing all of the ones that everyone keeps making and it makes me want to make one. I did decide that I should be carrying one with me.

Glad to hear that you went to the doctor. You need to hurry up and get your surgery taken care of. That way you will feel better and start sewing some more. :grouphug: to you and I hope that you feel better soon.

I went to my grandparents house today to drop Jenna off with them for the weekend and I mentioned to my grandpa that I was looking for some button up shirts to make dresses for Jenna. He told me to go look in his closet and I could have whatever I wanted. Jenna picked out some really pretty ones. A blue striped one, a multi-colored plaid one and a gray and yellow plaid one. She wanted more, but I told her that Pawpaw might need some shirts. (He has close 50 or more shirts. So he's not shirt poor.) The ones that she picked out still had the plastic on them from when they got dry cleaned several years ago. :lmao: He wears more comfortable shirts now that he is finally getting old (as he says).

Here is my latest. I finally made a skirt for my friend's DD7. She wanted something with brown and orange. I hope she likes it. It is the YCMT peekaboo twirl skirt.

How bad was the Gardisil shot? I've heard that they are EXTREMELY painful. Poor baby! No fun getting shots!

Linnette

Wow, you are supposed to be recovering and you can knock all of that out! You're a Wonder Woman! Be careful and listen to your doctors!

Linnette- Wow! Your son is a little hottie! ;) Now stop sewing and stop Dising and go prepare to get that headache taken care of!!

Twinsplus- I had a cyst on my ovary that ruptured- you think your cramps are bad now??? Trust me- go get that taken care of asap, if it bursts in is PAINFUL!!!! And mine wasnt big like that. I dont recall the size, it was when I was about 20 which was "ahem" a long time ago.

TeresaJoy- you designed the dress all on your own? Is the front part of the simply sweet pattern too? My heart just melted and I thought "ooooh I LOVE that" really sweet.

CastleCreations- I'm always so envious of Ireland's hair- she is such a beautiful girl!

Sewing- I whipped up another CarlaC's Aline-made it a bit longer- just below her butt this time, out of fabric with Dolphins for her to wear to Mystic Aquarium today. She got carsick all over herself 20min into our trip. I washed it out when we got there and was able to put it back on her at the end of the day. I used Carla's suggestion to replace buttons with ribbon to tie into bows- pulled thru the buttonhole- I loved this!

BIG scare for me today. At the end of the day we finished up with the aquarium and then had a late lunch at 10 Clams- a restaurant where everything is less than...."10 Clams" get it? Anywho, we came outside to order ice cream from the window, my parents said they didnt want any. My SIL were headed to the window to order, she had her 2 kids with her. I put DD2 stroller right next to my parents- the front tray was dropped and she got up and sat in it. I got to the window read the flavors, turned around and saw her standing, I yelled "Megan sit DOWN!" My parents didnt even blink or look her way. She fell over the stroller backwards and landed- back and head on the pavement. She screamed, I was already on my way to her, but just couldnt get there in time, she cried and cried and cried and then just stopped and was quiet and didnt want me to stop holding her. My Dad (family lives in different area of the state) drove the first 40min home for me so I could sit next to her. After he switched back to the other car I waited a bit and turned on a Disney music cd and started singing softly and she just quietly listened, and was back to her normal self, by the time we got home an hour later. My parents were sitting right next to her, but not paying attention to her, I am realizing that for whatever reason, as much as I love them, I cant trust them to be as sharp as they used to be, for various reasons that would take too long to cover here. I blame myself- I should have taken her with me up to the line. I feel extremely fortunate that she came out fine, just a lump on her head. Scared the living daylights out of me.

Poor baby! Glad she is okay. I can only imagine how scared you must have been. My parents aren't that old (only 62) but sometimes I don't think they "get" it. Car seats, helmets on bikes, putting their prescription medicine up when they visit, etc. seems to escape them. Sometimes I feel like they think they "know" it all and are more lax than my 16year old babysitter b/c she knows she doesn't know it all and is more aware and watchful. My parents also live 10+ hours away and don't have any grandchildren close by to get used to them either or learn the routine. My DH and I would love to take a vacation without the kids sometime but I feel like they (my kids) need to be more self-sufficient before we can do that. Of course by then, my parents will be even older!

That is so scary - my DN Hannah was in the ER at duPont just the otther day to be checked out after a very similar incident - only it happend right at home, and her parents were right there - Im sure grandma and grandpa felt terrible with your little one - accidents just seem to happen - Hannah had climbed up on a kitchen chair and was reaching for some goldfish and just fell off the chair and whacked the back of her head. Immediately after she stopped screaming, she hurled and then wanted to go to sleep - they were thinking concussion - but fortunately, she was just stunned, cried so hard she made herself puke and was actually tired!! she checked out fine and went back home. Its so hard to be everywhere all the time - Im so glad that she is okay!!!:lovestruc

Well its the one that almost made her cry. :sad2: But know her arm is just sore. So hopefully it will save her life. I couldnt imagine not getting it then the worst happening someday. And me blaming myself. Now just to get the other two. One in June and one in Oct.

Love them all, as always! That cruise dress is to die for!

Thank you all for your get well wishes:grouphug: , I have intracranial hypertension, (extra fluid in the brain) had it for over 17 yrs, I had surgeries to place shunts to alleviate the pressure,(lumbar shunts) but for some strange reason they keep blocking:mad: , this last shunt lasted less than a year, I do not want to rush to another surgery as I want to research other options, there is a new shunt (not really new but not available for my condition) called the Codman shunt, which has a micro chip that can be adjusted without surgery, ( if you heard of it could you give me some info..) that I am researching as an option, in the mean time the doctors took extra fluid for the brain so I am hopefully good for a few months, to keep from thinking of the pain and to avoid taking pain medication I try to keep myself busy and sewing is really a good therapy for me:thumbsup2 ...last night I finished more shorts for my little boy:laughing:

I know the feeling! I have my MIL making 7 matching outfits for the girls and my mom making 3 costumes each for our trip to WDW in Oct. I was online last night and have about 5 outfits each that I want to buy for the trip also...we are only there for 8 days!:rotfl:

On a side note, I have been meaning to post to say that I love how you make the skirts to go with the Gymbo stuff...I currently have an addiction to their stuff for the girls, but only buy when I can get super deals. The winter I am giong to start sewing...I have to get caught up on my scrapbooks yet, I promised DH I would before I started a new project.

Also, I love your little Lily! She is sooooo adorable, and as I am always telling my girls, I just want to eat her up!

I just want to say that everyone on here is so sweet and makes such beautiful things. It has inspired me to start sewing, although I promised DH I would wait until I am caught up on my scrapbooks so I am not trying to tackle too many projects at a time.:rotfl:

You are all so nice that I am going to try and stay out of lurkdom. I spend most time checking out the Scrapbooking board, but some days there is not much going on there. Have a great day everyone! I am off to get crackin' on those scrapbooks!

You know the sad part is they dont see that they were at fault in any way at all. They feel that if it's their job to watch her I should have "assigned the job" to them. Rather than just being part of a watchful group of adults. So it's my fault I trusted and assumed since they were sitting beside her they would watch her. She is doing great today- currently begging Daddy to keep singing and tickling her. LOL.

Me- Im off to Barnes and Noble to pick up some reading material on baby/pregnancy. I had a DREAM last night. That I got pregnant and found out right before our Disney trip and then I had to come up with a creative, fun way to tell DH while we were on vacation and I was struggling not to tell him the surprise on the plane, but then we arrived and I was too tired to leave the room after we dropped our luggage off.

Oh- and if anyone is interested.

I need to catch up, but I thought I'd post the Snow White outfit I finished for my neice last night. I haven't done the cape yet. We'll see if I have time or not before we go. :-) I used Carla's peasant dress pattern, and changed the waist line a little. It's hanging a little funny, and I need to press it, but I think Courtney will like it.

(I took a Snow white thingy off an old pair of Arminda's shoes. ;) )

My dog's name is Tinkerbell too. :thumbsup2 I have the opposite problem from you. I have a small hole in the base of my spinal column that allows spinal fluid to leak out. This makes it so that there isn't enough fluid around my brain. This causes some major headaches sometimes. The only way to stop the headaches is to lie perfectly still and straight on my back. It can be fixed, but the surgery could cause un-fixable nerve damage and I would have to be able to lay in bed for one week without moving. I decided not to do it. So I do understand your hesitance to get it done. The doctor did tell me that drinking caffeinated (sp?) drinks will help to increase the amount of fluid. If I don't drink caffeine I get a headache, so I know that it is working. I hope you get better.

Oh, I totally agree. I know that the shot is controversial and new, but the thought of being able to possibly prevent cancer (and I know it's not all strains of HPV that it will prevent) is pretty fantastic. My girls are too young right now (just 4 and 2) but as of right now, they'll be getting it when they get older. I understand that they are also working on a version for boys too (not that they can get cancer, but they can get HPV).
