Where is there a walmart that is still caring fabric? Our craft department has turned into a party area. there is not much left of accually craft items, is mostly things to have a party with how rude. I even put in a complant to walmart.

I'm in NY, Long Island, and we have 4 Walmarts I know of in a 15 mile area that still have fabric departments.

I have a Walmart 15 minutes away....never had fabric...its new. I just found out my closest "fabric" Walmart (which is 45 minutes away) is shutting down their fabric department. There is a small quilt shop about 35 minutes from me and a small Joann's about 50 minutes away. And that's it on fabric.... I end up getting it while on vacation to Lancaster or online or from fellow Dissers!!! It's harder to find fabric in my area then anything....can you tell I am annoyed....

....so if I do go up to this Walmart to see if they have any fabric left ...is there anything I should get for you all??? I may try to go today....I don't know.

I am right there with you. My closest fabric is 45 minutes (on a good day). I have decided to mainly try and order online but Joann's is the WORST for this and you can't just always order everything. This in turn makes me spend about $200 when I do go because it is such a pain in the rear!

Hi Wendy....I have been to that Walmart and I think I will check in there next time I go. I would imagine they would close that one eventually since its right around the corner from the Joann's. The Joann's is still up and running! Yikes...if it closes I will die... not that they ever have any good stuff but they do have the normal plain fabrics and calicos.


Well, after cleaning the house and finishing sewing and taking the kids to the movies (Mosters vs aliens....remind me never to go to another non-disney movie), I never did get up to the other Walmart in Vineland today.

Well, I got to the Vineland Walmart today - spent $130 onfabric - but I got a lot of cute stuff - including littlest pet shop(4yd), a sparkly cupcake fabric that is adorable(6+yrds), the solid colors i needed for ruffels and underskirts, etc, 2 different Cars fabrics(1yd each), Disney Princess that Joci like better than the other one(2yd), apple fabrics for the kitchen window shade(4yd & 1 1/2 yd), and a daffodil fabric which is just darling!(2yd) (not sure what I am making with it yet) and 2 hawaiian print fabrics(4yd & 1 1/2yd).

Was someone looking for the LPS fabric - because I bought 4 yrds. I will have extra. I prob only NEED 1 1/2 yrds.
Right now that is the only trader in the pic but it was the only pic I have of the LPS.

Did everyone who was looking for Pooh Firefly fabric get what they needed? I was at Walmart the other day and they had a fairly full bolt. If anyone still needs some, let me know and I'll pick some up.

Ok guys this is my last effort to get the Michael Miller Dots fabric.

I will trade this Cinderella fabric for it.

All I need is two yards, so I am willing to part with two yards of one of the above fabrics. Both are very hard to find. The satin came from Australia, so the shipping just about killed me, but it was my must have at the moment. I am only asking because DH has banned me from buying more fabric. He said something about an obsession . I have no idea what he is talking about . But he didn't say anything about not being able to trade .

The Cinderella was from walmart a while back (probably atleast 2 years). I might have about 1/2 yd - 1 yd left of it. I'll check.
