See anything you might be interested in?

I would like the aqua tink for sure. I know with the pillowcase, the one side is all 3 princesses....is the otherside the single Cinderella next to it in the upper right hand corner....If so I would love that also.

I
I have a few panels left from this Mickey book but they are the "girly" ones as this was for my tomboy.

Hi! I am making something similiar for my DD4 for Disney in November. Would you mind if I kinda case this? Can I ask how you did the book panels? Did you applique them onto fabric or did you sew them in as part of the skirt? I am trying to decide how to do it. I was thinking of making large panels and thinner strips between. But I am not sure how to get the book panels onto the skirt. Thanks!!!

The aqua tink is about 3/4 yard. The Cinderella is actually a full size flat sheet, it has Aurora and Belle on it also. It has never been washed or used.

Not that you asked me but I'll interject my thoughts on this. Here is the one I made and I learned a few things.

I would make sure to cut just outside the square and leave a small seam allowance if you can (making sure it won't show though once you sew). I did larger panels with smaller strips in the middle (think mine were 3 inches but I really don't remember now). This is a size 3t in the picture though. I just sewed the panels just like they were fabric meant for the skirt. Did that make sense?

I am not sure how thick your book is but I found that fabric kind of thin so did an underskirt. On CITH skirt I just did I lined the striped fabric when sewing together because it was so thin.

Hi! I made that for my tomboy-she was 5 1/2-about a size 6. I certainly wasn't the first to make a storybook skirt so don't worry about casing. I did just cut it out the panels with seam allowance and used it as fabric. That was trickier than you would think because the panels are printed very well on the fabric. I used 1/4 inch seam allowance. I just did some measurements on it for you.

The storybook panels were cut 7 1/2" wide by 9 1/2" long-so finished to 7" x 9" with 1/4" seam allowances on all sides. I used 2" strips between the panels (cut 2 1/2"). So 8 panels at 7" plus 8 strips at 2" adds up to 72" total around.

I cut the waistband piece 36" wide by 6" which was 4 1/2" finished after I did the elastic casing.

The ruffle I cut 144" long by 4 1/2". I pressed it in half before added the skirt with 1/4" seam so it was 2" finished.

The finished skirt was 15 1/2" long-4 1/2" waistband, 9" storybook, 2" ruffle. It could have a bit longer on DD.

After I finished it I wished I had sewn the 72" storybook section onto a 72" panel and then had gathered that onto the 36" waistband. I think you could have seen the storybook panels better if I had done that rather than gather the storybook panels.

I used Carla's Simply Sweet to make the top. I made it too long and too straight. I have to go download the revised Simply Sweet pattern to get the pattern for the more A-line top.

Hope I didn't make it sound too confusing!

Cathy-I used similar fabrics from the storybook outfit to make my DD(9) a more sophisticated Mickey/Minnie outfit for Chef Mickey's.

I think that might be the sheet from the sheet set I thought about ordering online....LOL!!

I will let you know within a hour or so.

I wish I knew how to sew because I was at Joann's today and they had some really cute Disney fabric pretty cheap in the clearance section.

I got really cute Hello Kitty fleece though for 7 dollars for a panel that's about a yard and a half which I was pretty excited about.

You should try. I have tried off and on for years and can make simple blankets, pillows and curtains. I got on YouCanMakeThink.com and got one of the CarlaC patterns and it worked. It's like a friend telling you what to do step by step.

I posted this on the other thread too before I saw this one....

I have not been on here in a long while but I knew this would be the best place to ask because I am stuck with this. One of mmy friends asked me to make her replicas of the epcot sets that I did for my kids last trip. I used the friends around the world fabric (the blue background with faces and flags). I have looked everywhere including ebay and can't find this fabric. Does anyone know where I can find it? Please let me know. I need to make 4 sets so I will need about 3 yards. Thanks so much! If anyone can help, it is the disboutiquers.

I tried to make a pair of PJ's when I was much younger with my mom and they didn't turn out. hahah I haven't tried to make anything else since except no-sew tie fleece blankets.

I am in desperate need of cotton Hello Kitty fabric to make a little wristlet for a silent auction basket for school. I just need a little bit, quarter yard at most, and I would be willing to trade for anything disney/character that I have. I need it pretty quick, so if I don't hear anything soon I'll have to start checking on-line. Thanks friends!

OH no! I just saw it somewhere and now I can't remember if it was JoAnns or Walmart. I think it was JoAnns. I'll run by there and check.
