You guys do awesome work. I can do complicated counted cross stitch over 2 and blackwork, but I could never get the sewing right to save my life.

But, you could help save my sanity!

I bought the boys 12 pr of shorts at various consignment sales. About half of them came from one seller, and after I washed them, I realized she had removed the button-hole elastic that you use to snug them up. I really need to be able to adjust the waist, b/c I have a very slim boy (and even my "regular" kid is hitching them up a bit).

I have to drive 35 minutes to get to the closest sewing shop and they did not even know what I was talking about until I showed them the pair ds10 was wearing. Then she admitted she'd never even heard of it.

Can I order this stuff online? Does Jo-Ann's carry it (there's one of those a 45 minute drive from here). HELP!!! I want my boys to be comfy this summer, not doing the hitch-walk.

hmmm found some black on ebay, but the shipping is nuts. Everyone else only has white...

And JoAnn only carries it online. It's on sale right now, $12.50 for a spool of 30 yds.

I just bought some button hole elastic on ebay a few weeks ago.

Search ebay for buttonhole elastic and it will pull up a few auctions. You should be able to get 5+ yards for under $8 shipped. Since it's not seen, I don't think it will matter if it's white.
