DISboards responding S-L-O-W-L-Y, on & off for weeks! (Oct. 1, persists)

Sluggish d-e-l-a-y makes trying to answer questions so difficult!

The situation (for more than a week, now) is that it will S L O W - D O W N for a few hours at a time, then...
it pops back to "normal speed" and stays that way for awhile.

Then, sometimes hours later (maybe the next day,) it will S L O W - D O W N again.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Sun. Oct. 1-
I was up early (6AM CDT / 7AM EDT) and checked the speed of the DIS for 30 minutes, continuously refreshing about every minute, or so.
Worked great.
Remained at normal speed until about 10:45AM EDT...
Then, "slow and slower" after that.

Sat. Sept. 30-
I've been posting since about 8:05AM EDT. (Not the highest of posting levels time.)
DISboards has been "slow and slower" continuously this morning.

Same with touringplans. It is wonky today. I have a terrible time figuring it out w/o the wonkiness

I had a tough time with a lot of sites being slow yesterday. Maybe it was something in the water!

Yup.
I re-edited the title of this thread to note that its slow again today.

(I suspect that there is some sort of maintenance going on behind the scenes.)
