Was just on Hojos message boards & a thread mentioned a discount on rooms for Disney fan forums/ websites.
Does any1 happen to know if us Disers get a discount at Hojo???
If so how much is it ??
Any idea of the code??

Am living in hope we can get a discount for our April booking especially if we can't get Ent Rates

Thanks

Yes, we get a discount - I believe it's 15%. I don't know the online code but I always have trouble booking discounted rates on their site so I just call in house reservations directly. :goodvibes

The discount code for the DIS discount for HOJO's is R2. You can use this discount code when booking online, or you can call their number on their website and ask for in house reservations. Tell them that you are a member of this board and they will give you the discount. They will send you an email confirming your booking. Hope that this helps you out. Have a great day!

can u find that link and post it please.. i know someone who will be coming to california and wants to stay at hojo....

Also - Annual passholders save 20% off of the regular rack rates! :) Annual passholders also receive 50% off rates if your reservation dates fall on the Entertainment Card discount rate days. (You would show your annual pass instead of the entertainment book card to receive your 50% off.) I assume one has to phone in-house reservations 714-776-6120 and request for all discounts to be applied.

So keep your eyes open for the entertainment card discount rates. (Join facebook and become friends with HojoAnaheim for quick updates when the calender for entertainment rates change.)
Or, look here... http://www.hojoanaheim.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14 If you want to be obsessive about it like me you can update that weblink several times daily to see if any changes have been made. :rotfl:

You can't apply both the entertainment card rate 50% off and the [15% DISboard or 20% annual passholder discount] on the same day, but you can save the 50% for whatever days are available on that weblink, then have your 15% DISboard member discount or 20% annual passholder discount for the remaining days in your reservation.

Annual passholders also receive 10% off purchases excluding alcohol, sold in the gift shop, which is a 'must-see' it is very well stocked, and staff is super friendly.

I hope I explained this correctly, Lorealle, please correct me :wizard: if I'm spewing nonsense. Thanks!!

I am glad I am not the only one! It's KILLING me that they haven't updated it in so long!

If you book a package with tickets through Disney can you still get the discount, or is it only when you book directly through HoJo??

Wow, I've heard about this entertainment card rate for Hojo, but I just clicked on this link and saw what the discount rate is. I didn't know it's as low as $59 per night. Hojo is a little farther than I'd like to walk, but at that rate I might reconsider.

That link listed dates at the bottom. Are those the dates the entertainment card rate is available? Some months, like Oct 2010 and Jan 2011 barely have any dates listed. Is that because they don't have many rooms available (in October) or it's too far out to project (in Jan)? If I buy the Entertainment book, it would only be for this discount...but I don't want to buy it only to find out that when we get closer to booking my trip in May, that the rate doesn't apply to those dates.

Only when you book through them. Not with a package deal.

Yes the dates are when the rate is available at this exact moment. Dates can be added right up until the day, and dates will be taken off. So if you see your dates up, make the reservation, b/c they might be taken down tomorrow.

They don't take payment up front, so if you see your dates, MAKE the reservation, even if you weren't planning on booking it yet. Don't wait! There's simply no need to wait.

October is a busy time, with Columbus Day, Gay Days, and I believe that tons of Utah people come b/c their schools are out for the big Utah education thing. So they aren't going to have dates up for the Ent rate yet, because they have many people booking already. But I'm SURE that they will offer some, because they did last year (we went for my b'day aka Columbus Day, stayed onsite using DVC points, but I kept checking HoJo just to see).

It's *maybe* 10 minutes to walk from the sidewalk, if you walk on the correct side (the parks side, NOT the hotel side, of Harbor) and take the little cut through where the taxis sit. When I stayed at Carousel, it was 5-7 minutes depending on crosswalk lights...so it's really not all that long.

If you book a reservation there, you can do it now and then later add the Ent Rate if it comes up. If it comes up, then you can order the Ent book (though don't cut it TOO short!). The books renew in November of each year, so if you are staying in May, the book that will be out in a couple months is the one you want. All you need is the *card* from the book, so if a friend of yours has the book, you can borrow their card, or even buy a card from a seller on ebay. It just needs to be from the book that's current at the time of the stay. And you'll just need that at checkin, NOT before.

For the newbies to the hojo entertainment rate, to get it on your reservation, call the LOCAL number, 407 area code, call during Pacific time business hours (not even during lunchtime!) and before noon on Saturday, ask for InHouse Reservations. They are the ONLY ones who can give you the great ent rate...if you call the 800 number (or if you call during non-business hours and are shunted to the 800# operators), if if you book via the entertainment website, you're not going to be offered the special Anaheim rate.

I booked my Oct 2010 dates as soon as they were listed which was back in April. I was able to get Oct 3 - 8 and within 2 weeks those dates were gone. Keep checking cause you just never know. $59.00 per night is hard to beat.:cool1::thumbsup2:cool1:

The new 2011 Entertainment books are out now and most of the coupons in them expire Nov 1, 2011.

Let me make sure I understand...I can book my room at HoJo now (before the applicable Entertainment Rate dates are announced) at the 15% discount for being a DISBoard member. Then when HoJo does announce what dates are available, I can call them and they will change my rate to the $59 Entertainment Rate (if I have the card, and I call soon enough before the rates are gone)?

Yes.....you can book the room now at another rate if the entertainment rate isn't available for your dates yet. Then when that rate shows up for your dates, call in-house reservations and they will change the rate for you. As bumbershoot mentions above, make sure to call as soon as your dates are listed for the ent. rate. You will not need to have a card when you call to make the ressie. You'll just need to show it to them when you check in at the hotel. :)

I have just called HOJO to request the discount... WOW! :woohoo: , the discount was $100.00 TAXES included for a 7 nights stay in a standard view room 2 queenbeds. This stay is in mid november.

:woohoo: THANK YOU DISBoards :cheer2:
