Disboard phone app problem!!!!!

Don't know if this is ok to ask on this forum but I will try and if not, please remove my question. I have been using my Disboard phone app for over a year. I enjoy reading through it at work on my lunch break. All of a sudden this week I can no longer get through. I get an error stating: the remote server sent an unknown response. This could be a result of the forum software plugin being outdated or having a conflict. I have a Samsung Galaxy phone. I would think some of you loyal disboard users like me are using the mobile app too. Could anyone help me or let me know if anyone else is getting this same response. I uninstalled the old one and thought maybe playstore had a new version to upload. Reinstalled but still having the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

On the WDW board, SEVERAL of us are having the same problem with Android..Have Samsung Galaxy too!
We have all tried uninstalling and reinstalling and NOTHING!
Mine started I believe Wednesday!
What is even worse is several have posted under Technical Problems on this board and NO ONE has responded!
Several have also reported a lot of spam, etc on the app, weird advertisements...Maybe that is the REASON for disabling the app???
Ok, just SAY SOMETHING then!

I got that message yesterday on my iPhone app. About a week ago, I was getting so many pop ups I couldn't even use the app. That seems to have mostly gone away. I did report it and others said they were having the same problem. Since it mostly went away, I'm hopeful that they are working on it.

In the Technical Support forum they have issued a statement basically saying that they know there are problems but it is a third party that runs the apps. The app apparently can't cope with boards this size. Looking for alternatives but don't
know when or if that will happen.

Me too! Samsung Galaxy S4. I use the mobile app exclusively. Gonna have to learn to navigate the regular site on my phone. That's a little hard. Maybe I will dust off the tablet and see if that helps.

Me too! I have a Samsung Galaxy and have been receiving the same error message for the last few days... I've tried everything, glad I am not alone!

What's bad is I was 3 days into a live trip report from Fort Wilderness at Disneyworld when this happened. This app has probably been the most bug infested thing I have used on my phone.

I ended up uninstalling it on my (Android) phone, but the i version is still working great on my ipad.

They have removed the Disboards app as of this past Sunday when they did the website changeover, sadly.

The new board is supposed to be a lot more mobile friendly. I logged in to my Disboards account in my phone's browser then added the page to my home screen. It's not as easy to access as the app was but better than nothing.

Agreed! And to add this format really is not all that user friendly. It can be quite annoying at times, such as not being able to use the rich text editor on the mobile site, for every time that I attempt to do so I literally cannot type a damn thing. Also, sometimes what you post really actually wasn't posted so you have to repost it. Just ridiculous really, in my opinion. Cannot wait to see how the full site goes. I am being a bit sarcastic can facetious.
