Friday 30th May.
Left house at 02.00 to travel to Gatwick airport. Stopped at Oxford services on M40 for drink at 04.00. Arrived at the car park at Gatwick BCP at 06.10 and checked in early!!
We boarded at gate 35 on to flight VS015 'English Rose'.
Seat numbers were 63 D,E,F,G & H. Took off at 12.40pm.
Plenty to drink on board. Kids had kids meals:- Chicken planes, smiley faces and baked beans and chocolate fudge cake!!
Rob and I had chicken in honey & mustard sauce and chocolate fudge cake.
For tea there was a foccacia sandwich with 2 cheeses in a spring onion mayonnaise.
Landed at 16.15pm (local time) and made our way through the airport and collected the car from Dollar and made our way to the Virgin Service Centre along Highway 27.
We ended up having a 4 bedroomed executive villa when we only paid for a 3 bedroomed villa!!
All the furniture was made of marble - it was absolutely wonderful - so roomy and we could each have our own room (except for Rob and I).
Surprised at how easy it was to get around by car as everywhere is signposted well - I don't know what we expected but even getting to places to pick the keys up and finding the property was real easy.

Saturday 31st May.
Hayley (middle daughter of 3) was sick all night but she's old enough to deal with it herself and they had an ensuite which made it easier for her.
Went to the virgin welcome meeting at 08.00, after waking up at 07.00.
Left there at 08.30 to go to Animal Kingdom which opened at 09.00
First went to Dinosaur which we could all go on. Had a picture of us all on the ride and the faces are a real picture!! except mine as I anticipated it and laughed!!
Then child swapped and went on Primieval Whirl - it's just like the old wild mouse ride you used to go on at the fairs!
Girls and I then went on Triceratop spin whilst Rob video taped it.
Had Dinner at Tusker House of Chicken Sandwiches - very nice!!
Then went to meet Lilo and stitch at 12.00pm - photo and signatures - girls went mad for them!!
Then went in It's tough to be a bug and had a drink in pizzafari.
Watched the 1.45 pm show of Tarzan rocks - this is our fave!!
Then got soaked on Kali river Rapids - but not as much as youngest daughter (4) - she was dripping wet much to her amusement!!
Lastly watched the 4pm Jammin' Jungle Parade.
We absolutely cannot miss the parades - they are the best.
This was all we could fit in for 1 day and we have been there 3 times so we did our highlightes.
Finally had a treat (yearly ritual) of going to Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. I had the China Island Salad - to die for but far to much for anyone to eat - kids didn't feel like eating much so we ordered mini hotdogs for them and they still couldn't manage 2 meals between the 3 of them. Did some shopping around and got back to the house for an early night as I had been sick coming out of Animal Kingdom as the photo shop was packed and I got clostrophobic - fine after.

Thanks Sheila for posting :D

We are going to AK on our first day too :bounce: can't wait :bounce:

Sounds like a great first day! :) I like Tarzan too, but I think TLK Show edges it for me.

Jungle Jammin Parade is probably my favourite parade now...I think it's the most fun one with a 'cosiest' atmosphere. (The Snowglobe Parade is very pretty, but I think it lacks something with the characters all separated by the glass)

Thanks for the report! :)
