Disappointing News about Fantasmic Dinner Package

Just heard from my travel agent, and apparently there are no Fantasmic Dinner Package reservations available at any of the 3 restaurants during the time of our trip. :( Oh well, it's late notice, so I should have expected it. Guess we'll just have to get there early and stand in line. I have read on these boards that the later Fantasmic shows are often less crowded - does anyone know the show times during June? Or have a number I can call to find out? Thanks!

Can you tell us please what dates you are talking about. ?

We are hoping for reservations June 9, 10, 11, 13, or 14th. Travel agent thinks there is only one show per night, but I'm sure I've read that at certain times of the year there is an earlier show and a late one. Does anyone know when or if they add the later show?

Up until 30 days out the only times available for the fantasmic package are 3:30-4:30 (I think it starts at 3:30, I'm postive 4:30 is the latest). Due to the limited hours I don't doubt that all of the PS are taken. However, starting at 30 days out all other PS times that are still available open up for the fantasmic package. If you call exactly 30 days out you should have no problem getting the package at a reasonable dinner time. I would find it hard to believe there wouldn't be any times available at all 3 restaurants.

There are 1030 shows on June 11th and the 12th. See you there

Thanks for that info! How did you find out? I have checked everywhere, and, as I mentioned, my Disney Specialist travel agent said that she was told by WDW that there is only one show nightly in June. If I can confirm those later shows, we will not worry so much if we can't get Fantasmic Dinner Package reservations. Thanks!

I would check again when you get to Disney. We were able to get them 1 day in advance from our hotel room even though they had none available 2 months ahead of time.

Hi Penguingal! To get the June hours for Fantasmic (and all the other park hours too) go to the main page at www.wdwinfo.com. Toward the bottom of the left side column, there's a link to park hours. Your travel agent needs to come to the DIS to get better info, because there are several nights with two showings of Fantasmic!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! That park hours calendar is exactly what I needed - just didn't know where to find it. I appreciate everyone's help. I will keep trying for dinner package reservations, but if nothing opens up, we can always try to hit a late showing and hope for lighter crowds. I will let my travel agent know, too. She apparently got some incorrect info. from Disney:(

I don't think the 30 day out and later times open up rule applies. I just made a ressie at 41 days out and had a choice of 3:30, 3:50, or 4:50 at the Brown Derby.

We had luck doing a res on the day we got there
you could try that as your last ditch effort
get there early

Out of curiosity, have you tried calling Disney Dining yourself to see if any fantasmic packages are available? I guess that's why I could never use a travel agent, lol, I could never trust them enough! Given that the other info you got from your TA was incorrect, I would have to call to confirm the dining myself, but that's just me.

Don't give up yet. I had 6:20 pm at Hollywood &Vine last night and I only called 3 days ahead.

When we were ther last June we stopped in at H&V and got a PS for that evening. It was during the parade time but don't give up on it.

I am going to Disney June 12-18. I have been trying to get a Dinner Package reservation for Sunday 13th for the last two months. At first I was offered only 4:00-4:30. Which I thought was too early for a 9:00 show. Anyway, I called back tonight and was offered just about any time I wanted. I took a 6:10 as the "Stars in Cars" parade is at 5:30. We can catch the parade and head straight to the restaurant. H & V.

We have done a walk up at H & V. It seems a little less popular than the others but we find the food hot and delicious. If all else fails, give it a try.

we have done fantasmic package without the package.

We just showed up with a regular ps and the Waitress asks us if we are going to Fantasmic and I told the waitress "yes but we did not get the fantasmic package" and she gave us the voucher for special seating she said since they had so many.

This has happened twice in 2 trips. Just book a regular ps or walk up but do not go right after the parade because that is when everyone hits that place. Also maybe mention that you are excited about seeing Fantasmic after dinner and you may get pixie dust

Good luck.:bounce: :bounce::teeth:

I have a 4 pm seating at Mama Melrose for the FDP, and when I called this morning to try to change it to a later time, the CM said the later times "haven't been loaded yet". So that means they are holding back the later times in order to fill in the early times.
I'm going to call every day (thanks to the toll free #), and grab a 6:30 or hopefully a 7 pm before they're gone.
