Disappointing changes to Taste Pilots Grill

Well we will probably eat there anyway, but it won't be as good. It was one of our favorite places because some of us could get burgers, some could get chicken strips, we could even get ribs if we wanted to. But without the WBY burger it's just of normal now, nothing special so we won't eat there as much as we did previously. Once we were there just for the weekend, we drove down on Friday and came home Sunday afternoon, that weekend we ate at TPG both Sat & Sun. LOL We loved it there.

Just to clarify a couple things...

The iceberg lettuce they had out was practically WHITE. I had to look at it for awhile to figure out what it was...it didn't even look like lettuce. When ANY lettuce is white, it's seriously lacking in vitamins and general nutrition.

I actually even wrote a nicely worded complaint email yesterday, this is how upset I was. I wasn't even really that angry, just more like disappointed. I got the canned form response, quoting Walt Disney irrelevantly and making sure to let me know that they hope I continue to enjoy Disneyland Resort. Just wanted to mention this so that this post doesn't come across as some pointless ranting. I did something about how I was feeling.

I actually WANTED to eat at Pacific Wharf yesterday, and get my son some chicken nuggets from the Farmer's Market. BUT, FM is now closed. And, the entire pacific wharf area was inaccessible to the public yesterday morning due to some sort of press event. And, to be honest, once I found that out I wanted to go to Whitewater Snacks, but DS REALLY wanted to go to Taste Pilot's.

I will continue to go to WWS from now on when we are in DCA and need to eat something. At least the burgers are made to order there...

And, it needs to be mentioned, the OUTSIDE menu at Taste Pilot's still lists the gourmet burgers. But the INISIDE menu is the one that reflects the change.

I agree. Lets get all the facts before we start accusing someone of lying. We all know that Disney can and will, and has changed things in the blink of an eye. Maybe those certain items werent available on that day for some odd reason.

if they were not available that day . why would they change the whole menu? think about it. there is no way to change the menu anyway!

There was a topic on another board about the grilled chicken sandwich being removed for like, a day or two...then it mysteriously reappeared. I don't think anyone is lying, I think Taste Pilot's has been seriously messing around with their menu lately.

Well what is it called when somone says something which is not true, and they state it as a fact?

Should I start a thread, saying security doesn't allow backpacks in so a bunch of people can alter their plans around my misinformative post?

I think as bizarre as it seems, you are correct. I hope they get it figured out real soon.

Funball - It would have been helpful and cleared the whole situation up if you would have asked a CM what was going on with the menu. Just a suggestion.

The OP has been a DIS member for four years. A deliberate "lie" seems like a stretch. You didn't even give her the slightest benefit of the doubt that there was a mistake, that the restaurant ran out of product for a day....who knows. But to immediately hurl the word "lie" is pretty rude. What is a burger agenda anyway?

Your example is just silly. Should you start a bogus thread deliberately misinforming others? I think if the OP wanted to start a flame war, burgers is kind of a strange way of doing it, don't you think?

Iceberg lettuce isn't healthy?? Uh, yes it is. It's a good source of Thiamin, Vitamin B6, Iron and Potassium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Folate and Manganese.

It's not AS healthy as many other lettuces.

But I find TP to be very difficult to understand, and from my memory I don't think they had the same menu over every line. VERY easy to get confused....

They didn't run out of a product for a day. That's not possible in this case.

The OP said a lot of things which were as stated in this thread changing the thoughts of people but it is evident that the basis for this is untrue.

My example is an example and demonstrates what I wanted to show.

To the OP: Thank you for reporting what you observed...and more importantly, thank you for submitting your comments to Disney. Please don't feel discouraged by the strange response you've gotten from a couple of individuals.

Maybe enough people spoke up about their dislike of the changes...maybe because of that they've decided to keep certain items on the menu for the time being. It does sound as though things are influx, so submit those comment cards!
