Disappointed

Yesterday, hubby decided that we should go to WDW this summer. We always plan way in advance so this caught me off guard. We got great rates on our flight ($175) and rental car for $107. We bought our DVC discounted AP's and decided to get in a trip this summer, one in December and then one next June. Only problem, no on-site hotel discounts. I hate paying 100 plus a night for an all-star.

Looks like we will stay first time off-site at Cypress Pointe Orlando. It looks nice and got great rates through hotel kingdom. I sure hope we won't be disappointed since we are so used to staying on-site.

Wow! When in summer are you going that there's no rooms available?

Do you need a car? You could use that money to pay the difference for the all stars to what it is vs. what you're used to paying.

If you have AAA, maybe they have those discounts available? I know it's not much, but it's better than rack rate.

We just got AP discount for 6 nights at AKL and 6 nights at Pop for 06/26 thru 07/08.

If you are trying for dates after 07/04/05 then AP rates should come out around beginning/middle of MAy.

Our dates were June 8-15 and there is nothing available at any of the resorts for those dates. Carribbean Beach had King rooms only, so we would have to do 2 rooms. Our rental car is only $100 for a week and we love having our own transportation. Cypress Pointe has a 2 br at $73 a night.

I guess I should just be grateful we are going.
