My DW has to have some unexpected surgery so we had to cancel a 1 BR Lake View at BLT for 10/23 - 10/30 yesterday.

I hope we made somebody on the wait list happy !!

The same thing happened to us 1 week before our trip so I feel your pain. Only, I'm the DW and it was me having the immediate surgery. Our boys were crushed. I wish her the best of luck and a super speedy recovery! I know how hard it was to sit in bed and recover thinking, "I was supposed to be dining at Boma right now."

Sorry you had to cancel OP. We too have been in your shoes. It's pretty heart-breaking, even though you know you did the right thing. I remember crying my head off when I had to cancel. I wasn't sure if I was more upset with cancelling all of the hard work I put into it or just the trip in general. I made up for it later though!

Thanks everyone for your kind words! Yes, the CM couldn't have been more helpful. Since we're inside 31 days, the points are in a holding acct. We're hoping to go the week before Christmas now

So sorry you had to cancel. I hope your wife is feeling better. Happened to me in February. Not because of illness. Because of snow. It worked out for the best anyway. It was in the 30s and we would have been freezing. We managed to stay at Kidani in May. I was waitlisted all over the place. I was still calling on my way down and nothing was available but sure enough we managed to stay in one room for the entire stay.
